The AD50VT-212 features the patented Vox Valve Reactor found on all Valvetronix products. The Valve Reactor circuit uses a 12AX7 triode vacuum tube together with an actual low-wattage tube power amp circuit, a virtual output transformer and a dummy speaker circuit that simulates the impedance changes of a real speaker. It also reconfigures itself so that its characteristics are the same as the amps it's modeling (class A, class AB, negative feedback circuit, etc.). This means that all of the nuances of the original amp model including sound, feel, distortion and presence are reproduced accurately. Learn More...

10 out of 10Feature:
The amp has a lot of great features. If I had to say one thing that could be better, it would be the enabling of the use of the VC12 foot switch or a compatible pedal that would allow you to control two amps from one switcher, without the need for Y adaptors. The amp comes with the power cord, manual and warranty paperwork. You will need to purchase the optional foot switcher; which I feel they should have included with the amp.
Quality:
The quality is typical Vox. 10+ ...These guys have been at this business of amp manufacturing for a very long time, and it shows in the craftsmanship of the amp.
Value:
Incredible value! You could easily pay twice as much for less quality.
Desirability:
I own two of these amps so that within itself speaks volumes. They are sharp looking amps that I wanted and had to have! They have complimented my overall setup.
Sound:
The sound is the reason I purchased these amps, they're absolutely stunning. I believe they are the best amps you can buy in the price range, or maybe even in a price range that's twice as much. The sound quality is smooth, clean, dirty and punchy. All the things we love as guitarist. The amps suit my needs, perfectly. The amp sounds great using the internal presets and models. It also accepts outboard effects extremely well. I like the sound of these amps over most, if not all of the other amps I tested. The amp sounds equally as good using it live as it does in the studio. Each sound is unique within itself giving you many sound choices in one light, easy to use amp.
If you can afford it, two in stereo is the way to go. If that's not possible at the moment, one does a great job by itself. Two competes with top shelf half stacks all day long with less bulk and weight to lug around.
Ease of Use:
Extremely easy to use. The interface is laid out pretty well. Even a beginner should be able to navigate through this amp with little or no problems. The manual is your typical amp manual, basic but informative.
Support:
I haven't had the need to speak with Vox themselves, but the folks at zzounds are incredibly easy to deal with and very professional as well. I could not believe the deal they gave me on two of these amps. The other thing that blew me away was how fast they shipped them out and how fast they got to me, two days from order to arrival. I'm 5 states over from their location. Do business with this company, you won't regret it.
Overall:
Excellent purchase! I don't think I'll be looking to change this setup anytime soon. The amps meet and exceed my expectations. God forbid, but if something happened to these amps, I would purchase the same setup again. With Vox amps and zzounds, you cannot go wrong!

10 out of 10Feature:
The only thing I wish the amp had was the jack for the 12 switch vox pedal. But other than that I love it.
Quality:
The first one I have blew up the first time I tried to crank it. I will call it a fluke. I have never heard of Vox having that kind of problem.
Value:
I can play in church and in my metal band with the same amp, and get that warm feeling in both places. I had a line6 amp. I was cold and stale with it.
Desirability:
The amp looks as good as it sounds.
Sound:
When you can go from ACDC to deftones on a modling amp and feel great about both sound you have to love that amp. I don't even change the tone. The presets are perfect.
Ease of Use:
If it was any easier I would not have to even play.
Support:
Vox was great. Instead of repairing my amp. They sent me a brand new one. Great support is just as important as a great product.
Overall:
I will use this amp probably until my kids are old enough to play. Then I will give it to them and buy a new Vox.
