This is a really fantastic instrument. The body is cheap, that is pretty clear when you look at the pictures here. But it is STURDY. I've literally hit my guitarist with this uke and it didn't lose its tune or sustain any damage at all. You're buying quality machine heads and good strings. The body is well made and I can say after purchasing three of these the construction is consistent. I've taken this to the music shop and played it next to a $200 wooden uke and it sounds every bit as good. Also I can play this one in the rain.

My daughter wanted a ukulele for her birthday. I did not want to spend over 100 for something to be carried to school. When I read it was pvc, I was a skeptical of the sound. The reviews said it was a good instrument. When she opened it, I was shocked at the high sound quality. This also appears to be virtually indistructable. I play multiple instruments and know what quality sound is. I wish this company made a guitar of simillar product and price. This instrument is definately great for kids or anyone who likes to carry an instrument into an area where most would be damaged. For 24 bucks this is absolutely incredible.

Musical Background:

"Not bad for a travel uke"

My tenor uke recently broke and, with Christmas right around the corner, I didn't feel right putting down a couple hundred dollars on a new one. The Vorson seemed like a cheap stopgap until I could get a proper uke. For that or as a travel ukulele, it's great. I probably wouldn't recommend this as someone's first ukuelele. The plastic body gives a much different tone than even cheap laminate. More snappy and sharp with not much resonance. The playablity is also not the best. The string height was pretty high when I received it (though I did lower it) and the lack of distinction in color on the frets makes them pretty hard to see. They are just ridges on a solid piece of black plastic. Though it feels sturdy, you'd never be fooled into thinking it's a "nice" uke. The fretboard in the one I received was slightly off center and the tuners are pretty cheap feeling (it seems like the knobs will snap off anytime). Okay, that was mainly the bad points. There are some good points though: The intonation isn't bad. In fact, it's much better than I've found on other cheap ukes. It also definitely feels like something that would hold up to travel. Due to that and its price, I wouldn't hesitate in bringing it on a camping trip or travelling with it. Depiste its plastic materials though, it doesn't feel like a toy either. Maybe it is the concert size (vs the soprano size of most toy ukes), but it has the feel of a proper instrument. Again, I probably woudn't bring this on stage or use in a recording, but for throwing in my carry on to visit family or keeping the car for when I have some free time, it's perfect. Especially considering the price, if this broke, i would definitely buy another one.

Has good sound. I would recommend to someone to learn on like me without plunking down a lot of cash upfront to see if you like playing the Ukulele. The only issue is staying in tune. I know the strings are new but after strumming on it all day every day for a week or so I still have to tune it once an hour no joke. And I strum lightly. I'm hoping that just a new set of better strings will fix the issue.

"Not The Color I Thought"

I received this ukulele today and was so excited to unveil my ukulele. Well, I open it, and it’s very orange. Due to the picture I thought it was going to be on the more yellow side of orange, but the picture was deceiving. It also looks fairly cheaply made, so, yeah. I mean, for the price it’s good, but I should have read further into it. Biggest complaint has to be the color.

Musical Background:

This was going to be my first ukulele, but I sing. I thought it would be fun to learn how to play so I could sing along to it.

Musical Style:

Rock, hip-hop, country, and Christian.
