"Vic Firth Headphones...Pleasantly Surprised!"

I am very happy with these headphones. I am able to play CDs (which I practice by) at VERY LOW volumes. The sound quality is very good for the price range, but the isolation is EXCELLENT! Works well in recording situations also. Highly recommended. A snug fit, but they need to be to provide the sound isolation. Not uncomfortable, just snug.

I'll wear it out - buy the same product if something unforeseen should come up
Sound
At first thought the fit was a little bulky, but the quality of these headphones are second to none. Have tried others - cancels out just enough overtone from playing.
Features
Works with ipod if needed, works for me sometimes -
Quality
Sturdy, light, and have banged it around a little, no big deal - NICE
Manufacturer Support
Zzounds has been great - product has been great, Gretsch 5pc. and Vic Firth isolation headphones. Have dealt with direct telephone support also, can't say enough great things - professional, informative, no issues, head game stuff, runaround etc. Will certainly continue to deal with them in the future.

"Better than expected"

I play in a very small room with these plugged into nothing more than a cheap pre-paid cell phone using YouTube as my music source and I can't even turn the phone volume up much more than half way or maybe 3/4 of the way up or I can't hear my drums and I'm a heavy hitter in a really small room. These really dampen the volume of the kit and let the music in your ears come through. without question. And just as a side note I play everything from led zep to really aggressive drum styles like Dimmu Borgir. It also comes with a 1/8 inch cord with a 1/4 inch gold adapter so you can plug it into something like a laptop/cell phone/Mp3 player or a mixer.

The iso-properties and comfortable fit aren't the only reasons I love them. The main reason is because I've been doing a lot of vocals lately. The VIC FIRTHS keep instrumental bleed into the mic at complete 0!!!! My recordings have gotten better and better and my artists agree as well!!!

For the price, these are quality isolation headphones. They provide a good range of sound and really fit comfortably. I can use these for hours at a time without any issues. Great for drums!

"minor flaws, overall great"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Just a little bit overpriced. Still worth buying. Love these headphones. Comfortable. Reliable. Really good isolation. I'm just nitpicking at it's minor flaws.
Sound
Isolation headphones don't need good sound quality, just as long as you can hear what is going on. This comes across with these headphones. However, fantastic isolation and doesn't leak onto mics.
Features
Headband very hard to use. Wish it had a longer cable. You have to crank your headphone amp; these suck power like politicians.
Ease of Use
Crappy headband.
Quality
Decent. For what I use it for, it is perfect.
Value
I would pay $40 for these. Anything more is a little high methinks.
The Wow Factor
Umm... I wanted it so much that I bought a set...

if your going to play like 3 times a week and your not that serious they would be a great deal
Sound
amazing...really blocked out the sound of my drums....volume can stay low and you still hear what your playing to
Features
it would be good to have a volume control but i hooked it up to my ipod and it worked fine it was great that it came with a 3.5 to 1/4 converter and can also hook it to my amp
Ease of Use
plug it in and go very easy to use
Quality
after you get past the cheap feel of it the headphones really work great my friend told me i should get them and she has had a pair of these for 4 years and they haven't broke
Value
even though they feel and look cheap they work great

Sound
The sound itseld could have been better. If I compare it to a decent DJ headphones set I have to admit the Vic Firth headphones sound inferior.
Features
Could have included a volume control
Ease of Use
Heaphones are supposed to be easy to use.
Quality
The heaphones seem very durable.
Value
Good value for money.
Manufacturer Support
Didn't deal with them yet.
