Feature:
The tapered center of the stick is not for everyone. It throws the balance of the stick forward, which makes the stick seem to gain extra momentum. If you have strong hands that can control the gravity, it's perfect. The sticks feel deceptively light for their diameter in spite of the powerful strokes they create..

Quality:
I can make one pair last a week or longer under continual playing conditions. Make sure you know how to hit your cymbals correctly going in, because these tree trunks will win the battle vs the bronze.

Value:
pretty average for stick prices

Desirability:
they're sticks. They look kind of cool though.

Sound:
If you like a warm, powerful spread on your cymbals from a wood tip stick, you can't go wrong.

Ease of Use:
hit things, make sound.

Support:
not needed

Overall:
I've gone through at least 40 different models of sticks in my playiong years before settling on these for the long haul. I would rate them a 10 if Vic Firth made a model with a coating similar to Regal Tips.
