Sound: Gold tipped RCA and ground wire supplies the clearest/best sound available. Feature: Extreme pitch control allow for some crazy action with tones and sounds. Instant reverse switch and start/stop speed adjusting. Quartz Lock returns pitch to original speed. Non skip tonearm allows crazy scratching and tricks with almost any cartridge. Tough motor too. Technics hasn't changed because of lack of competition, not anymore. Quality: Vestax is a proven brand and this should hold up as well. But doesn't have the proven track record like 1200's, though. Value: Costs about the same as a 1200, but the new features just put Technics to shame. The Wow Factor: New look is fantastic. I have the limited editon blue ones and they are phat. Overall: If you are a scratch/trick DJ these would be your best bet for the art. Technics is just going off of reputation now. Progress is necessary. These are the shiznit!
