10 out of 10Feature:
Came with the mic-boom adaptor. You can put any boom you want on the Ultimate Support adaptor. Very user friendly
Quality:
Fit and finish were fine. Got a few scratches on it from 20 years of use and Ultimate has stood behind the lifetime warranty over the years with no questions asked.
Value:
Paid $149.99 back in 1987,,,that was a good deal then. Over the years I bought the longer tri-bar arms and mount for a fair price and this unit can't be beat,,even after 20 years of gigging.
Desirability:
Classic column stand ease of use and it still looks cool after all these years. Next time you see someone playing keys live or on TV,,you'll probably see this stand being used.
Ease of Use:
Should have come with a better handle in the center of the stand to carry it. I drilled and mounted a solid handle about a year after I bought it,,,which was the first version sold back in 1987.
Support:
Since the company is still around,,,it helps. Made a few calls over the years,,always got free parts shipped from the warranty.
Overall:
This stand has not only met my needs over the years, but has been easy to modify right from the beginning of it's production. You can add other sets of tri-bars,,longer sets of tri-bars, adaptor for a mic boom, and I hear that it comes in silver and blue now as well as the black standard color.
