Sound
One of the best pieces of equipment for mixing in the box and out the box that's on the market. Giving home studios to professional studios an opportunity to produce great masterpieces. Wonderful!!

Install is easy. Plugins are straight forward and precise.
Quality
This is my second one, so I am sold on quality. Very well built with state of the art technology.
Value
Depending on what type of studio you have will decide the factor for this one. Of course the quad would be more than lovely, but even the solo can provide you with the same quality, just be more dsp sensitive.
Manufacturer Support
Support forums on the site are very helpful. Customer service has never been used....Maybe that's a good thing.

"UAD Solo Flexi plug-in bundle"
I recently purchased the UAD2 Solo Flexi DSP card. It is amazing. The stock plugins that it comes with are great. I highly recommend these plugins to anyone that is looking to get better results in there mixes. This bundle comes with a $500 voucher. UAD online is always offering special promotions on plugins. My advice would be if your going to purchase some of the Tape saturation plugs or some of the reverbs like, EMT 140 or the space echo, to get a bigger DSP card. They take up a lot of DSP power.

Sound
Gotta say I was a bit skeptical at first, but now I know why so many swear by them. I am entirely "in-the-box" with Live, and the sort of warmth and character just a few of these plug-ins has given me has made a world of difference. Just looking at the frequency spectrum you can see all the digital "harshness" getting smoothed out.

This is where UAD is going to start coming up short. I'm not so quick as to put a value on what this had done for my mixes, but given the ability of the 2nd gen i-series of Intel processors; this platform is losing its value.
