I probably would not replace this with the same mode.
Sound
Bass is deep, but I found the snare to be lacking a bit...not enough tonal difference between the top and mid area of the faceplate. It was better mic'd up with some tom/snare oriented verbs, but with no mics it is pretty one-sounded.
Features
The snare system works well and easily changed. The finish is very nice, and is in fact what caused me to go for this model.
Ease of Use
Obviously the playing of the cajon is pretty straightforward. Again, not enough differentiation in sound for me, as compared for example, to what I hear in a Meinl.
Quality
Made in Thailand, and I'm wondering if there are some QC issues. The unit I got had a warped upper corner. The fact that this unit does not have screws in the upper corners likely means it is prone to warping over time. The warped corner definitely impacted the sound.
Value
I think there are better out there.
Manufacturer Support
I'm going right down the middle on this one, as I am still waiting to see what the company (Toca) will do.
The Wow Factor
The finish is awesome.

It has the right volume for acoustic instruments and anyone can play it and much cheaper than a drum kit which is too loud and takes time to set up along with easy to carry providing a seat and small enough to add to the other equipment and still have enough room in the vehicle.
Sound
The volume is determined by the impact intensity and fits into any musical style since it can be amplified. Placed where the rhythmist or bassist can hear it and in a corner makes it easier to hear. The bass area sounds more bassy with the palm cupped or flat, and the snare responds best to finger tips grouped, with the top treble sound bes pronounced by the thumbs or finger tips bounced off the surface.
Features
The snare seems best always on, set to a medium tension easily adjusted by turning the knob counter clockwise to loosen and allow the the knob to be pulled sideways, forward to increase tension and locked into place by turning knob clockwise while holding in position. Like any drum kit there is a variety of tone. The Toca bass to treble in degrees moving from center to top out to the edges all used while playing with any assortment of instruments.
Ease of Use
The sound is good although not as good as a drum kit while still being professional sounding. Just a few minutes hitting various areas with a variety of hand shapes and strokes of different intensities will shortly give clues how to make it sound good. It plays as easily as bongos and is comfortable enough to play through a 7 minute song. It is as easy as hitting with your hands.
Quality
It will last through generations without losing any sound quality as it feels very solid.
Value
It is worth the sale price. The list price may be what it is worth to make, but I would recommend drums at that price.
Manufacturer Support
I got the best information on youtube by someone who owned on.
The Wow Factor
It makes a beautiful chair or place to set a laptop or heavy object temporarily as a back saver.
