5-string bliss! The Toby Deluxe V's 34" asymmetrical neck makes it comfortable to play, while its Tonexpressor control lets you sit perfectly in the mix.

WOW. I'm very familiar with the Tobias brand as it relates to the kingstons and american MTD basses... so I was expecting a higher level of quality in this bass. In this particular instance, the saying holds fast... sometimes "you get what you pay for"...This bass is as beautiful as the day is long to lay eyes on!!! craftsmanship is impeccable... However, the tonal quality in no way shape or form matches up with the aesthetic appeal. It's like that woman who's phenomenally beautiful yet when she opens her mouth to speak, she makes you sick to your stomach with her ignorant and abrasive nature, immediately making her beautify fade into a distant memory. if you want something pretty fir the sole purposes of hanging on the wall in your studio and/or man cave, then by all means buy one of these! If you want a bass that actually has tonal quality that doesn't say "Hi, I'm a bass that came from K-Mart!!!" then DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT buy one of these.

ZZ2636967, the NECK is terrible. My A string has a muted or dead sound. Have replaced the strings 2x and had the bass professiionally set up. This is the 2nd bass, since I had to send the 1st one back. I sent an email about trying to return this one, but didn't get NO response back from zzounds.com I was, am DISAPPOINTED at that fact because all other experiences with Zzounds have been good. I wanted a decent price bass to use as a back up and to leave at church. But I at least wanted it playable. To play B, E, D, G strings that ring out and to hit the A string and its not right really SUCKs. Gibson NEEDS to tighten up on their QUALITY control cause this should not happen is QUALITY was being tested.

you do get what you pay for. Price point is great, BUT I would rather pay more for better quality. I order 5string Toby Deluxe to recieve ith with a croocked or warped neck. A string muted and would NOT ring out. I return the bass, was replaced with a new one and low and behold; the same issue (neck). Got my bass professionally "set up" both times and the EXACT same issue. I mean, is there ANY playability quality control checks, when these bases are contrsucted prior to sending out to sellers? This is ridiculous. now Ive accidenlt gone passed the 45 day return policy rules. Will ZZsounds correct my bass instrument issue? fingers crossed. I hope so. Michael Tobias would NOT put out bad products like this.
