This was my first bass of my own. I've played friends basses over the years of various standards. This bass blew me away!!! I was surprised by how versatile this bass was. I could play everything from funk to punk with this thing. I would have easily payed twice as much for this bass. Only complaint is only black and white to choose from.

Musical Style:

Punk, hardcore, fusion, funk, reggae

For the price, you can't beat this! Nice neck, feels good to play. You can get a variety of good tones with the tone knob and pickup mixing knob. If you' re into active ickups, you can get the Toby deluxe. Personally, I don't want to be changing batteries all the time so I got the standard model.

Musical Background:

played bass in different for about 10 years, now I just jam at home.

Musical Style:

Rock, metal
