"Para-Driver Measures Up"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
As a tone chaser, you can't be completely happy with your tone all the time. But this is a good EQ...
Sound
Extremely quiet for a pedal. It is a semi-parametric. But very sensitive and lively.
Features
Doesn't come with an adapter. No big deal because I use my Voodoo 2 to power my rig...
Ease of Use
Very tricky to dial in, but once you are there, it is smoking!
Quality
TECH-21 is quality! No question!
Value
Great Product, but pretty steep in price! Worth it if that is what you want though. I owned the M-R 10 Band, and it didn't do it for me...
Manufacturer Support
Never have had to call them.
The Wow Factor
Looks good, sounds good!

"Great bass Preamp/DI"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

If it were lost or stolen I would definitely replace it. Probably with the rack mount version.
Sound
The best bass preamp/DI I have ever used. Any tone I want is in there. The mid shift knob is the key. I can dial it up whatever way I want.
Features
The mid shift knob is what attracted me to this over the bass driver version. And it makes all the difference.
Ease of Use
If you can use an amp you can use this thing. So much easier then scrolling through digital menus for thin sounding digital simulations that don't really sound the way you wish they would.
Quality
The sound I am recording with this thing is outstanding. I was recording thru a passive DI and applying a VST plug in amp sim before I bought this. They were good and I was more or less happy with them. They just seemed to be missing something. Now my tracks feel more alive. My bass tone sounds organic and natural. I also use it for late night jam/writing sessions with my guitar player/lead singer. We are headphone bound due to a sleeping family and the sound in my headphones is sublime with this thing. No more trying to dial in a sound with the board eq. This thing sounds very very much like a mic'd up bass amp. It's warm and when you run a little compression with it is an awesome way to record your bass.
Value
Okay, yeah there is way better out there for a lot more money. But if your like me and making music is your hobby, and you still have other bills to pay. Then this thing is your ride.
