"This is not my first Rodeo. This tool is the best if you can't afford to pay 4 additional backup singers to be with you 24-7"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I love it that tc helicon keeps improving this product and addresses issues that the users want.
Sound
The sound is great. It is a bit difficult to program if you're a Techy.
Features
The directions are getting better to understand. I can't wait to get the harmony guitar controller. Some times in outdoor venues, it's difficult to read the panel. It seems that all read outs are like that.
Ease of Use
The presets are great but takes some knowledge to change.
Quality
The prduct is very heavy duty. Mine did have a flaw in operation after about a month. The Service was fantastic. I had it back within 5 days fixed and ready to go. that was several years ago and it's still working fine.
Value
This product is the highest price but there is a reason for that. It also holds it's value. It's the best most natural sounding tool ever. It's not cheezy. People are always looking around to see who's singing harmony.
Manufacturer Support
They are great. sometimes you have to wait a while to get to talk to a tech but they will call you back and solve your problem.
The Wow Factor
It works. I don't want people looking at it. I want it to be invisable so people think that I'm really that good.

"Great FX stomp-box! The Voice Live Rocks!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'm always on the look for new gear. I will keep this product unless it is broken or stolen. I probably would upgrade to a VoicePro if I lost this machine or if it died.
Sound
Best stomp-box FX for vocals to come along in a long time.
Ease of Use
Took a little reading first.
Quality
Pretty heavy-duty. Well made.
Value
It's probably the greatest product of it's kind on the market, with no peers. It sounds great.
Manufacturer Support
Still haven't heard from them. I sent a number of e-mails to their site, no repsonse.
The Wow Factor
It looks cool and sounds even better!

"A powerful device in the right hands."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
You'll be satisfied with this product if you're smart and can figure out how to use it properly. If you're an idiot, you won't be. It's that simple. Oh, there is one thing I would change: the knobs for entering data... are a little bit strange, they aren't continuous, and if you put them in the absolute lowest/highest position, the data entry moves constantly in that direction. It takes some getting used to.
Sound
The sound quality is quite good; the Burr-Brown preamp has similar circuitry to a product such as the M-Audio DMP3. It sounds very good, better than the Mackie VLZ preamps on our console, but not the preamps on the Onyx. I would use it as a line-level insert with an Onyx or A&H board. As far as the overall sounds go, "It's not the gear; it's the technique." And that is so true with this device. If all you are capable of is browsing through the presets, you will be sorely disappoitned. As most presets are, they are an exploitation of every feature the device has to offer. If you enable the fantastic pitch correction with the PROPER settings, you'll get great sound. Same goes for the EQ and the harmonies. You must spend time getting your sound right. A lot of rock'n'roll people have a problem with this device, because they do not have the mental capacity to properly use the VoiceLive. You've got to set the Vibrato right, as well as the level... You must get the wet/dry ration of the FX right (anyone who says the FX are "over the top" is obviously an idiotic guitar player/rock musician who doesn't know how to turn them down.).
Features
Look at the specs; everything is well done, though I wish the compression had attack and release controls (though the hard-set settings are quite good... more of a limiter-ish sound). Ohh... the instrument input... look, I play instruments that operate at the LINE level.
Quality
The quality is great. I've really thrashed this thing (though I do have a bag for it, 12"x12"). Stomped on it, knocked it off the stage... if you're concerned about the "cosmetics" (Oh, it has scratches and looks old!) then you are not worthy of using the VoiceLive.
Value
This product is invaluable to me; I use it onstage (and also when I'm at the console too) with a handheld condenser, and it's just fabulous. Sometimes I use as an insert for whoever's leading the song... everything's preset. It also seamlessly integrates with a midi-centric live performance with a click.
Manufacturer Support
The support is fantastic if you are polite and reasonable, and functioning cerebrally enough to read and comprehend the manual.
The Wow Factor
It doesn't look "good" and it doesn't look "bad." Your ears were made for music. If you want sex appeal, then get into art... though this device is very good at making mediocre singers (whose only strength is sex appeal) sound passable.

"Helicon voice pedal"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars

Sound
This this just sucks. Don't waste your money. You will be sorry. The harmonies are so machine like, fake sounding it is just terrible.
Features

Quality
Seems tough and durable but just after one gig mine was scratched up from my shoe and it looks 2 years old now.
Value
Way too much for such poor quality

"The reality of Voice Live in practical use."

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Sound
I have used the Voice Prism for live performance with no problems. I am unable to use this product because of guitar bleed into the mike no matter how I set the sensitivity gate which I am told is the only way to prevent accoustic bleeding. Also, I am unable to program the harmony latch button to harmonize when I push and off when I release. It sounds great but I am unable to use it live.
Features
Lots of features but not practical with an accoustic guitar.
Ease of Use
Rocket scientist?
Quality
A screw came loose and is rolling around inside.
Manufacturer Support
No resolve to my problems, no walk through help and if you can't do it, you are an idiot.
