1 out of 10Feature:
Software to backup user presets to a computer for a Mac would be nice. I downloaded shareware that seemed to work, but it was unsupported by TC Electronic.
Quality:
Mine is having major problems and it is only 1 1/2 years old -- just long enough for the warranty to be no longer valid. After about 1/2 hour of operation, it locks up. No sound passes through and none of the controls work. The only fix is to power it off and power it back on again.
Value:
If it worked, I'd be happy with the price. The sound quality would be worth it.
Desirability:
This has the features and the look that I wanted. I just wish it was reliable.
Sound:
The sound is excellent, especially the reverbs and pitch modulation.
Ease of Use:
The amount of control for modifying sounds is excellent; however, only being able to view one line of information at at time is very tedious. This is especially true when adjusting the parametric equalizer settings.
Support:
Although their web site appears to have good support, when I submitted my problem, I got a reponse that there is most likely a hardware error (bad connection or PSU) and they told me to call tech support. When I called tech support, they were closed -- at 10:20am on a Friday.
Overall:
I will replace this unit with something made by another company. I originally bought it because I've heard so much about the TC Electronic reverb pedal that I thought the G Major would have good quality effects. I does, but the effects aren't that much better than the competition and the reliability and usability is much worse.

10 out of 10Feature:
Everything is here but distortion!
Quality:
Loose/dirty control knobs. Aside from that, seems very well made.
Value:
Thought this was a little spendy given the quality problems I've had with it.
Sound:
The sound quality is superb. I used to run thru an Alesis Quadraverb (yeah, a DINOSAUR), and the difference is so palpable that I'd rather run dry than without the G-Major.
Overall:
If this were lost/stolen, I would shop around other products for ease of use, better interface, and if something else had the same sound quality as this I'd buy that instead.
