This thing is as awesome as you think. I haven't received my new cab yet so I can't report on real "power", but I'm using the DI through my Mackie recording PA/mixer with Mackie monitors, and I have to say I have never heard a DI sound so clear and clean and true. I have seen some really bad DI's in my time, with distorted waveforms, lots of noise, weak anemic sound, etc. etc. Not this one. It sounds like my PA is a "cab" and it really records a usable, great sound. I also got the Switch-3 footswitch and I thought I would comment on how that works, since the instruction manual and other descriptions are pretty vague: Button #3 is Mute, period. Button #1 is for Effect #1, Button #2 is for Effect #2. If you have Effect #1 selected when you upload a new one, it overwrites Effect #1 and only changes Button #1. Button #2 is still the same Effect #2 you had before -- it doesn't "roll down" the effects you are uploading, which is great. So the official description is a little incorrect -- it doesn't remember the "last two" that you uploaded -- you can uploaded a bunch of different #1's without disturbing what you had in #2. Nice! The other neat thing is the way Button #1 and #2 work. Took me a while to figure it out, but it works like this: If both effects are off, you can turn on #1 or #2 by pressing the button (duh). But if you press, say, #1, then #2, it intelligently switches from Effect #1 to Effect #2. If you then press #1 again, it switches BACK to Effect #1. In order to turn OFF all effects, you must press the button AGAIN that you had turned on. So if you had Effect #2 turned on, pressing Button #2 again will turn all effects off. This is nice because it makes it real easy to switch between two effects (press 1 then 2 then 1 then 2, etc) or between one effect and no effects (press 1 then 1 then 1 then 1, etc) And yes the TonePrint stuff is really, really amazing, their library of effects has pretty much everything that you could want and apparently you can even design your own. "Beaming" from my smartphone really is freaking space-age magic!!!! The TonePrint stuff really separates this from any other amp in its class. There is nothing else in its class -- everything else is just an amp. Hope this helps!

The fit and finish of this amp is great. I love the wieght of it, very compact, tons of power for a smaller head. I bought this to cut down on the gear I cart around with me. This has a built in tuner that works like a charm, and a built in DI that you select as pre to send to the front of house mix. Adjustments are easy and the tone print is cool. The only thing I wish it had was a standard 1/4 in jack output for speaker as well.

Musical Background:

23 years of gigging, too many venues and areas to list.

Musical Style:

Classic Rock, Blue, new age.

Heard a lot of great reviews about this head but trust me they are no match for the hands on experience! I've played bass for 25years now and this takes the cake!Running the BH250 through an AVATAR 212 neo 4 ohm and WOW!I've sold a ton of equipment since the BH250 arrived!I wanted a nice little practice rig and this has surprisingly taken the place of more than half of my road gear! The ease of use, power and light weight package it comes in is enough but add the fact that its all this under a $500 price point is amazing! The Tone Print feature is about as fun and useful as it gets!Me and bass are in LOVE with this amp!!!

Musical Background:

Playing bass 25 years. Professional. 4 to 5 nights a week.

Musical Style:

Variety including jazz, rock, country, blues, zydeco, and cajun!
