Quality:
Apparently, extremely well made, though this is a brand new product and only time will tell. Only after being subjected to the rigors of the road will one be certain of the components. Get the warranty!!!

Value:
For the money there are quite a few guitars out there that play as well but are hundreds, if not a thousand dollars less. This guitar is being heavily promoted and the press doesn't live up to reality. Look around, unless you have more money than common sense.

Sound:
Despite Taylor's claims that this guitar sounds full when not amplified, the reality is, IT DOES NOT. Without an amp anyone speaking in a normal tone will exceed the volume of the guitar. Amplified, it sings, depending on what you are plugged into. Tube is the way to go. The T5 does play like a dream. The action is suberb and light. Be forewarned, if you do not get this axe from an authorized dealer, Taylor will not provide warranty service. It doesn't matter if the seller furnishes warranty cards, good wishes or a magic wand, ONLY authorized dealers can provide the goods of a Taylor warranty.
