Feature:
It came with a hard shell case. The guitar is no frills. It has no pick gaurd, no fancy inlays. I'll admit that I don't know what type of wood it is made out of. The neck, back and sides are a flat finish. All I care about is how it sounds and is it going to sound that way tomorrow. I'm going with Taylor's reputation here
Quality:
This guitar had no blemishes or factory issues that I could notice. I would say that it has been well crafted by those skilled in the art. I did have my first string break on it the other day, and all of the other strings remained in tune, which is a first on any guitar that I have owned.
Value:
Like I said above, I couldn't find another guitar even close to this price that sounded as good.
Desirability:
Is this question for real?
Sound:
I spent like six months trying to find a guitar that sounded as good as this one at my local guitar center before I spent my grand. This guitar blew away all similarly priced guitars and many more expensive guitars. (Martins and Gibsons)I don't know how to describe it, other than to say that this guitar wants you to play it aggressively. The lows and mids resonate with depth and the highs are crystal clear. If you do a lot of finger picking I wouldn't suggest this guitar because the lows tend to not come out very loud when your playing softly, because of the body design. But if you like to do some heavy pick strumming, palm strikes, bluesy type muted string slaps etc then you'll love this guitar. A lot of people don't like the dreadnoughts and to be perfectly honest I intended to by a Taylor 214 or something similar in the Martin line, but I couldn't stop comparing other guitars to the DN3 so I bought it instead.
Ease of Use:
It sounded great before I got it home
Support:
I have not needed any customer service with this guitar. I imagine that If i did, it wouldn't be a problem since I'm so happy with the sound of my guitar.
Overall:
I will not replace this guitar. I may buy another guitar in the future that has a more shallow flat treble sound to it so I can have a different sound. If it were lost or stolen, or my wife decided to smash it against my 67 camaro, I would have to figure out a way to get another one, because this guitar is a part of me now. This is why I leave my old Yamaha and cheap Fender sitting out in front of my Taylor.
