Feature:
Has everything you need for a great price. I used 14 channels of this mixer to record my band. Everything came in clear as a bell once we got the levels right. The mixer also has a usb send channel so you can send the output of your music DAW to external speakers. This came in handy for listening to each take.
Quality:
Faders feel a little cheap but they are sturdy. The whole unit has a nice sturdy feel to it. I just wish it came with a grounding wire. The input level monitor at the top of the mixer is a nice touch and takes alot of the guesswork out of locating a peak.
Value:
This mixer is a great value and the perfomance is top notch. As long as you have a computer to handle the inputs this mixer is a beast. And don't let the fact that it is USB 2.0 put you off. USB 2.0 is just as fast as firewire. I use mine with a Unibody macbook and there aren't even any Firewire ports on it!
Desirability:
16 inputs for under $500. Win.
Sound:
The preamps are completely transparent, which to me is a pro. The only reason I am not rating it higher is because I am coming off of a Soundcraft Compact 4 mixer, and I have never used anything more expensive than this.
Ease of Use:
No mixer is "easy" to use, but I guess this is as easy as it gets. I spent about an hour with the manual and it was less because this mixer's complexity and more because I've never used a pro grade mixer before.
Support:
We'll see. Lol.
Overall:
Great Value. Great Performance. Great Looks. What more do you need?? Sure there are more robust mixers, but not for under $1000. This mixer is easily a 10 when you consider the price.
