"What a great gadget"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I 'll give it a nine. Theres always room for improvement, but it appears to all be little things to me. Its main function is as a stereo recorder and as that it is Great!
Sound
Outsatnding quality at the 24 bit setting to .wav
Features
I mainly have been using this for stereo recordings, for which it sounds awesome. The tuner appears very accurate and the speed function is great for transcribing solos. The FX are clean and accurate, maybe a little noisey. I haven't used the overdub function.
Ease of Use
Simple, intuitive user friendly
Quality
So far so good. Smart looking and appears durable.
Value
Great bang for the buck.
Manufacturer Support

"OK for me, but maybe not you"

Sound
I got this to record through the line in jack, and audio recorded through this jack is great. I was not impressed, though, with the build in mics. They sounded tiny to me and they pic up a lot of handling noise.
Features
Good set of connectors, rechargeable battery. But, it doesn't come with an AC adapter!
Ease of Use
Drag and drop files from the DR-1. Navigating the menus is difficult, it took me a long time to figure out, after changing something in the settings, how to get back to the previous screen without completely leaving the settings section (fyi, you press the rewind button...?)
Quality
When I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was the cheap, lightweight feel. The buttons feel cheap, the wheel that you use to navigate menus feels cheap, everything feels cheap.

Sound
So far things sound really great, especially in the mid to high range. I have done too much with low frequencies.
Features
I really enjoy the look and size of the machine. It's great. Seems pretty durable. The slow playback option is great!!!
