I chose the Tascam DP-32 over a PC based recording suit for several reasons:1. Noise.2. Reliability (I can't tell you how many projects I've lost on PC).3. Ease of configuration.4. Number of inputs.5. Quality of hardware.6. I work with computers for a living, and I don't equate creativity with them.7. I've always preferred hardware over software recording.I have to say, this was totally worth the wait. These Tascam DP models are built like a tank. Upon plugging it in, I was at first a bit confused as to how the effects and EQs worked but after looking it up in the manual, it became instantly clear just how nearly every aspect of the DP-32 works. The design and functionality is seamless and intuitive once you get passed the initial newbie jitters. There are only two things that I can see room for improvement:1. It only comes with a 2 gig SD card (seriously, seems a bit cheap of them).2. A VGA output would be nice, so you could use an external display. I gave five stars for everything except Manufacturer Support... because I haven't needed any :)

2 years ago I bought the Tascam 24. I made 2 Albums from it and the people in Nashville, And I'm not talking about just anybody, I'm talking about some of the Stars of Country Music. These people said they thought I recorded my albums in Nashville.. So just what do you think I'm going to be able to do with the Tascam DP32. It will be amazing!

This is my second Tascam multitrack in this class. The first was a 4-Channel that recorded to a 1Gb max CF card. It was rather limiting and the menu system was pretty horrible. This thing is the exact opposite. It is the easiest multitrack system I have EVER used. It has a max of 32Gb, but that's an awful lot for an album or two. It's a nice size, and feels like it was built in Russia! I like it. I've not been more surprised at how easy this thing is to use. It comes with a paper manual, but I've yet to crack it open. You must keep the power button depressed for a few seconds to turn it on. I like that. Makes it so an accidental bump doesn't shut you down. This thing puts the joy back into recording. I was getting pretty fed up with my "high-end" Mac based solution. I was most impressed with the individual track effects and eq section. It's also built like a tank and the faders and dials are top top quality. Love this thing! Thanks for the Pay as you Play ZZ!

Though I am still learning the product, I find it very easy to understand and to use the enormous features that are included in the mixer. There have been a few glitches along the way, but the learning curve is very low. A must for the writer who is looking to produce their own material.

One of the must haves for every active musician. I initially got it just to track my bands practices and personal acoustic songs but after reading the manual and seeing what this machine is fully capable off I ended up building my own home studio using this as my replacement for a DAW. Noiseless, reliable and easy to use. The sound eqing and mixing on it makes it superb and the mastering options makes this machine flawless.

I've had this unit fo about a month now, very easy to use, my band has recorded 3 songs on it already with favorable reults, with experience it will only get better, alot of features on this unit which I'm still learning. Punch i/o during a track is virtually seamless, Many options for multiple takes, with an undo funtion and history, as well as 8 virtual tracks per track, equals alot of takes if needed to get what you want. On board effects, EQ as well as mixdown and mastering tools to burn a disc right from the machine. My wife hardly sees me anymore! BIG kudos to Zzounds for superfast shipping and an excellent oay as you play program, as well as excellent customer service....You guys ROCK

Okay, I know how much everyone swears by the Tascan 2488 neo and so do I, but this new Tascam is better in all ways! Get into it and use it! The SD card is awesome and I think every improvement is superior to any other Portastudio on the market. I brought two and wouldn't trade them for anything!

The DP-32 is amazing!!! I was up and recording in no time. Its manual is easy to understand and very user friendly. The best thing about the DP-32 is that your not wasting time trying to fix soft ware glitches and reading thru thick manuals.you can focus on creating and recording.I have never had this much fun recording before.

I was looking for a way to use all of my gear while i recording. I have Reasons but I couldn't record my triton board, unless you purchase the sounds cards. I use the mc-307, jv-90, alesis Qs8 and my boss drum machine, and my guitars, so I purchased the Tascam dp-32 and I am really impressed. This unit does so many things, you can master your recordings, bounce tracks, its the only way to use the full 32 tracks but other than that this unit is the truth. Wow , you should hear the effects and compressions, also I have my Behringer x2442 hooked into this for vocals just to see if I could, works like a charm, however, you only can recorder 2 channels, which is fine for right now. This is an awesome recorder and I would definitely buy it again if asked.

I have been playing for 21 years

This is one of the best purchases I've made in years. I got the 32 track because they out of the 24 track. Really don't need 32 tracks but I didn't want to wait. Learning how to use it was not as bad if you take the time to follow the manual. The sound quality is sweet. Assigning an input to a track is simple, adjust your input levels, then press record. It's that simple. Mix-down and Mastering is amazing. Throw a CD in and burn it. The 4 easy makes it easy to buy something you don't have money for. Highly recommend the Tascam DP-32 or the 24. thanks ZZounds for thinking of your customers.
