I have three of these super recorders, no need to spend more on a CD Recorder. This machine does everything that you will need. Great for Tascam and super that zZounds offers this CD Recorder. Richard Hinchman

I bought this unit in June'15 & I've taken extremely good care of it,but recently I've had cd's pop out of it while I've been recording, screen saying ''rec error'' I doubt it's my cdrs cause I'm using Taiyo-yuden which have a very low error rate,I suppose it also may be my optical conection cause the cable was a bit choked by another cable while plugged in which could have effected recording process but I doubt it-I think it's starting to give out. It's upsetting cause way back in '99 I bought a Tascam, one of the first cd recorders w XLRs for $1000 & I got 8 yrs out of it.Then I paid $500 for an HHB Burnit! which lasted about another 8 yrs & I buy this & a bit over 2 yrs-it craps out-wtf! i did reconnect the do cable & recorded 2 good cdss from it but it still shouldn't be happening.I'd really like to know why cause I aint rich & fixing it'll cost almost as much as buying a new one. I'm dissapointed with Tascam & their recent lack of quality! Also, it used to be easier to record in manual mode-very complicated process doing it w this machine. I hope you get more than 2 yrs out of this thing, good luck!!!

I love Tascam CD recorders but the CDRW 700 was much easier to use. I don't understand why they made it harder to change settings. Like Microsoft Windows, it seems like it was merely change for the sake of change.

Musical Background:

Just a listener and a musician-wannabe.

Musical Style:

I like both kinds of music; rock and roll.
