So many good things about this pedal. Some pedals only feel comfortable and controllable at higher volumes. This pedal feels great playing hard or soft. You can either be subtle or brutal with equal ease. The mechanical build is flawless. The carrying case is a nice plus. The black and copper color scheme might not be to everyone's liking, but I love it. I have played countless pedals over the my 40 years of drumming (Yamaha, Pearl, and other Tamas), and this is the only one that felt comfortable out of the box. I usually don't gush about drum hardware, but this is the last pedal that I expect to buy. zzounds' delivery was fast, and the pedal was carefully packed. No complaints here. The "stars" rating does not reflect the manufacturer's support because I haven't needed it yet. Also the pedal by itself makes no sound, and it better not!

PROS: Excellent, fast and versitle pedal! Great action and with many variations on the adjustments. The unique beater defintely results in a better tone with greater attack. Nice holder for the drum hammer(key) is an excellent addition. I prefer this pedal over my DW7000. CONS: Should have included a built in anchor and the clamp to the hoop can be tricky to adjust and remove.

Musical Background:

Drummer for more than 50 years.

Rock preferred.
