VERIFIED BUYER
zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us.
Sound: Unique incredibly balanced tone. Can make a lot of noise for such a small guitar and yet is happy being played delicately. Feature: This is a pretty bare-bones acoustic guitar. The tuners are precise and stay put. My only concern is that the transparent pick-guard may not be strong enough. Quality: By going for a no-frills design, Tacoma has been able to concentrate on essentials. This is a first class instrument. Value: Outstanding guitar at an outstanding price. Manufacturer Support: Haven't had any experience of warranty service (and don't expect to) but Tacoma has been very helpful in general at answering technical questions on their web-site. The Wow Factor: This is an exceedingly handsome guitar. Overall: I love this guitar and if it ever dies on me (unlikely I'll probably die on it before that happens) I'd get another immediately.

Sound: it is great! i'm always playing it at the music store while i'm saving up for it. Feature: the pickup on the electric-acoustic model is not great. Quality: Tacoma makes the best acoustic guitars, and this one is no exception Value: it has better sound than any other guitar that i have played The Wow Factor: the small body and location of the soundhole make this guitar very cool Overall: the only reason i'd replace it is if i broke it beyond repair

Sound: The C1C by itself sounded great. That is, until I played a Taylor 310CE sitting next to it. Then you realize the small body limits the sound a great deal. Tinny sound, no low end. I tried an RMM as well; it sounded better than the Chief, but failed to impress when in the same room as the Taylors. Of course, the Taylor is 2X plus the $, so you can understand why it sounds so great. Nice, even response across all strings, but zero bottom end. Feature: It seems most of the Tacomas with paisley sound holes have no edge bindings. I think that is something they need to correct from the get-go. From a strategic standpoint, this is a bad idea! Although the strings sit awfully high, the action is very easy and smooth. Quality: The Chiefs and RM's need to be set up. The strings are WAY too high, not to say that the guitars can't be dialed in. I know they can be. The bolt on neck is kind of strange to see on an acoustic. I guess if the neck warps it's cheaper to replace? Again, no binding is a bad thing. Quality guitars typically take the extra step. This is a security thing for consumers. Value: Not bad for price/value, but still tinny sounding. I think I'll need a big, fat dreadnought Taylor to make me happy. Either that or a standard shaped Tacoma. They've got more of that big sound I seek as well. Manufacturer Support: I've contacted Tacoma for further information on their products. Fast response. No issues The Wow Factor: I love the look of the paisley holes. I think this is what attracted me to Tacoma's first. I don't like the wood finish--it looks too easy to scratch it up. Some of their high $$ units have better finishes, but you pay for it. Their standard shaped dreadnoughts have better sound--bright highs and booming lows. I think maybe the cheesy woods on the paisley units are actually short changing the company. Need some more meat to get the lower register to register!

Sound: WOW...you gotta hear this guitar. Big tone, big volume, small guitar! How did they do that anyway? Feature: Top rated AAA wood all the way through..Nothing like Cedar and Mahogany. Quality: Perfect. Can't find a flaw anywhere. Even my Martin and Fender have a flaw or two. Value: $700 bucks..not bad, I'm very happy. Comes witha really nice hardshell case too. Manufacturer Support: They are cool to talk to! The Wow Factor: This guitar stands out amidst the masses of boring axes. Overall: You may be missing something. Try one soon before they go up!

Sound: What a great and extremely balanced guitar. This acoustic projets better than any acoustic I have ever heard. I smokes my Taylor 314 and sorry to say my Martin 00-15 sound dead compared to this wooden icon. It plays any style with ease and when plugged in blows away any big bodied article. This guitar has an unusual and modern tone which lets you play it, instead of it playing you...like so many big boxes demand. talk about response...totally works for an all around acoustical dream. Check one out soon! Feature: All solid wood design and a cool feel to boot. This guitar is a players design no frills no BS. Just straight forward tone control cannon. You will be blown away by its volume and tonal palette. Fingerstyle of flatpicked it keeps its character....and is in a class all by itself. Give it a 9 for its simplicity..no flash here...keep the art on the wall at home. Plays like a Les Paul even with 53-12's Quality: Top craftsmanship in all aspects of design and build. Flawless and dedicated structure at every angle. Value: A bit pricey, but not compared to other USA makes. Manufacturer Support: not yet? The Wow Factor: Very cool and sexy design! An American acoustical secret...try one! Overall: Its just what I needed to perform at my best and I play all styles of music. It rocks and closes the gap between passion and the creative beast in us all.

SPOTLIGHT REVIEW
Sound: For a smaller, shallower body then I am use to playing, this guitar sounds amazing, strong bass and clear crips mids n' highs! Really does sounds as good as my bigger body acoustics ( also way more comfortable to play, greats a great size body, love it)! Excellent design, top workmanship and high quality wood makes the difference! It's a top notch high-end instrument at a very good price. Sounds great unplug'ed or plug'ed into my trusty fender acoustic amp Feature: Elixir strings (they really make any guitar sound better) but love the Nano Web light strings (.012-.053) High Quality Turners (make a huge difference) High Quality Bridge and Nut. Came with a Hard Shell case (always nice) Excellent Choice Solid Woods (the solid cedar top is sweet) Quality: It's made by Tocoma, that should say it all if you know your guitars. Every thing about it is world class. A very well design, well equiped mechanically in every way, beautiful cosmetics, just a fine, high end instrument. Value: It's an excellent value.. fine instruments are worth every penny. Face it a cheap guitar is a cheap guitar no matter how you look at it or play it. Manufacturer Support: I have had no dealing with this company directly! But knowing their fine name and rep I would think they would stand behind their product. I would think and hope most high end mfgs would! The Wow Factor: I WANTED IT AND NOW HAVE IT...! A fine instrument is a practical addition for any guitar slinger.. but this guitar does have a special and cool vibe to it. You really have to see it, feel it amd play it to really appreciate it. Overall: This guitar sounds so great and is so comfortable to play I think it will stay in the life-time collection. It's just want I have been waiting in a guitar. Traded in a Martin for it. It was a great soudning guitar but was uncomfortable to play sitting down for long periods of time. The guitar was kinda deep (great sound design) but you really had to reach over the top of it when playing seated, totally bugs my shoulder. The Tacoma is a shallow, smaller body which is sweet. The only reason I would replace this axe is if it got stolen or eaten by a shark. Yes I would go out and buy another one! This guitar is all pros.. no cons!
