"SWR LA-15, The dynamic Gap Filler."

Sound
I gig Weekly from two table coffee shops (20 watt Peavey) to large garden parties (330 watt Hartke head, 4X10 and 1X15 Eminence Cabinets.) The SWR LA-15 is the gap filler I have been looking for. I play three 5-string basses; Jackson (passive), Carvin, and Michael Kelly acoustic/electric fret-less, both active electronics. I can play the Jackson at volume 10 with no distortion or overload at all !!!!! 7-8 on the other two. The 18 volt electronics in my Carvin LB 75 makes this thing yell, moan, sing and growl in my rock, country, and fusion jazz styles. The fret-less with hot phosphor bronze strings propagates WOW through this little amp. I hear every little nuance I want to hear while I am playing the jazz I wrote. I am really impressed! IT is being advertised as a first amp, or first "SWR." Funny, this amp may be the last bass amp I ever buy. For its class, it is the best performing amp I have ever had.
Features
I wasn't interested in accessories. i just wanted the best 100 watt bass amp I could get.
Ease of Use
If you are looking for ease of use in a bass amp. this is it.
Quality
Nothing Sweeter.
Value
this is the best combo bass amp. you can buy at this price.
Manufacturer Support
Everyone I know who owns SWR wants nothing else. I have never had or heard a single complaint about their service. I have however had a few pleasant, fruitful phone contacts, always giving me prompt, accurate information.
The Wow Factor
and I thought there were no stupid questions..................

"Great Friggin Amp"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If I had the option, I would buy it all over again. Don't buy this amp based on my review. If you like what you see, find a place that carries it and test it out. Sometimes it's the individual peice of equipment that works great, and mine did. I'm sure there are plenty of LA15's out there that absolutly suck. Always test out equipment before you buy.
Sound
This amp is friggin sweet! I play a Fender Deluxe P-Bass Special through it and the sound is awsome. The low-end rumble on this baby is perfect.
Features
The controls are simple and way easy to use. I don't really like amps with all those built in effects and crap. I'de rather run a pedal or an effects board directly through the amp. This amp is perfect for that.
Quality
The cabinet is built very solid. Perfect for road abuse and studio use. (I use mine as a small coffee table occasionally)
Value
I paid around 300$ (plus tax). This amp is a little underpriced if you ask me. It sounds as great as most tube amps double this price.
Manufacturer Support
I've emailed SWR telling them how much I love the amp, and they responded very promptly. I don't think I'll need any assistance anytime soon.
The Wow Factor
As far as "Sex Appeal" goes, This amp is really much to look at. Just close your eyes and you'll think you're hearing something much bigger.

"The best Combo Bass Amp"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I always played thru a Peavey 15 inch heavy, very heavy amp, the sound wasn't that bad, but transporting it was a nightmare. The way it's shaped, it's like toting around a super large suitcase, and I always had to make 2 trips, one for carrying my Bass, and two, the super heavy Peavy Bass amp. But when I got the SWR LA-15, it is so light weight, and the quality is way better than the Peavey Bass amp. I thought about selling my Peavey amp, but after playing thru the SWR LA-15 amp, I just gave my old Peavey away, and DON'T MISS IT!!!! I am purchasing another SWR LA-15, for each side of the stage. Also, I can carry the LA-15 amp and my Bass together, one trip. I highly recommend this amp, and it looks real cool, and much easier to put in the trunk. Very much well worth it!!! You will see when you purchase it.

SWR LA15 Bass Combo Amp Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Sound
I love the sound! 100 watts is just what I need to annoy the neighbors and make practice fun.
Features
It would be nice to have a longer power cord.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use, I like the controls on top and to the back.
Quality
The whole cabinet seems very sturdy and well-built. I would like to have options of what kind of material it is covered with. This fuzzy carpet is not my first choice....I hear it is hard to keep clean and looking nice. I do like the design and disagree with other reviewers that it is lazy on design. I like simple nad modern styling and this fits that style very well.
Value
I couldn't find 100 watts for the same price with the same style and design and such great sound!. Awesome deal and value!!
Manufacturer Support
No problems so far...I hope it stays that way.
The Wow Factor
I would like the volume to go to 11, "one" louder is always a fun option!!

"Amazing amp, must hear for yourself"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i was extremely satisfied for the time i played with it, i recently gave it back to the people i borrowed it from and i bought a Behringer Ultrabass BX1200 and the SWR was so much more playable with this amp if you mess with one knob a little bit it seems like the whole sound changes, with the SWR you didn't need to worry about that.
Sound
nothing very powerful and so easy to use three knobs, bass, mid and treble, easy to get awesome sound.
Quality
it is so durable i got water in the one i used and i let it set and i dried it out and it still rocked like a champ. and it was tough so that you weren't afraid of hitting it on something and hurting the amp, you were most times more worried about what you hit getting hurt.
Value
it's so worth the price.
Manufacturer Support
didn't need to complain it was great
The Wow Factor
kinda lazy on design it's just a big box with knobs set inside of the top.
