Quality:
Here's where my argument is...the guitar is built very solid. Silvertone has been making very good, strong, durable guitars for a long time...but strings tend to break fairly easily, and as I mentioned before, the dead spots on the fret board drive me nuts.
Value:
The sound and tone that this guitar gives definitely makes it worth the asking price...but those blasted dead spots!
Desirability:
Not a lead acoustic...but definitely a solid-toned strummer.
Sound:
The sound of this guitar is awesome...there is only one major problem with the guitar, hence my 7 overall rating. The problem is that there are several "dead" spots on the fret board. I've used an allen key to try and adjust the neck, but it hasn't ever helped. Still, the sound is very bright, especially with light strings.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to play...action is pretty low on its own, very little neck adjustment needed for action.
Overall:
Overall, a very nice, durable guitar. A great beginner's guitar because of the low action. But I'm not sure if there is any way to alter the bridge to keep strings from breaking constantly and I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix the dead spots on the fret board.
