Feature:
Inserts would have been nice..I have to run my external processors (ie;compressor/limiter, etc.)in line for each track recorded.

Value:
The thing to remember is that although this is a fine interface for the money, the best results that I have obtained, have come from using the bundled Emagic software. The software was designed specificaly for use with the dsp 2000. High dollar/profile software (ie; Cubase,Sonar, etc.)does not seem to work as well with this card without a lot of tweaking, and even then trying to get the right drivers can be a headache.Stick with the included software and augment your setup with external recording devices.

Desirability:
Sex Appeal????

Sound:
Very clean with a little tweaking here and there of course.

Support:
St audio has a Q&A board only. I posted a question 3 weeks ago and still haven't receieved a response.

I Love it. Performs great. Pre-amps are clear and I get a great sound especially when running with Cubase vst in 32 truetape mode.
A real bargain for the great sound qulaity you can obtain on a home computer..

Multi client..yes!!

I run Cubase, gigasampler, and soundforge (as a sample editor) all at the same time with separate outputs. I havent tried under XP yet..but Win98SE works awesome.

Sound:
Since the new drivers came out from ESI(Ego Systems) I must say I am much happier with this than I was before. Considering the new drivers and obvious new support from being bought out, I'd say give this card a shot, I've done some recording with it, the sound is clean and very dry.

Well, you get what you pay for I guess. This thing looks good on paper, but in practice at least here, it is nothing but problems. The mic inputs are very cheapily made, moving around alot when plugging and unplugging. I haven't been able to make a decent recording since I got it a month because of the poorly written drivers causing system crashs, pops and clicks and other assorted madness. Don't bother. Save up and buy a rme card and multiface. That is what I am doing. But if you really must have one, email me.... ;)
