I had used many different types of DJ Laptop stands in the pasted, and as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. The Stanton Uberstand Laptop Stand is by far a superior product in terms of DJ Stands. It's easy to setup and the breakdown is just as fast - do you have a few seconds to setup. Well, that's it! I am also certain that this DJ stand will last for many years to come - heck, it will probably out last me ... LOL

Version 2 is much sturdier than the original and the brackets or arms can't slide thru the base. I've used the same uberstand for at least 7-8 years and never had a tipping issue. Only time i wouldn't use it is outside on a windy day. I have a 17" MBP and the surface area grabs the wind something serious.

MUCH improved over the 1st generation. The openings i the back have been eliminated and it comes in black! 2 thumbs up.
