vintage blonde is the best color byfar. with superb sounds to match. the neck pick up can be a little to shrill at times, and the sound in general can be a tiny bit bright at times. but like to think as this as its own distinct voice. my main unresolved complaint is that with all my web searching I have not come up with the wood in which the body is made up of

I have owned a Squire tele from 1988! They made it in Japan then and it was signed "made by fender". It served me true for 13 years - on stage and in the recording studio.

I recently solds it. I played for a while with a current production Squire tele (made in the phillippines, I believe...) - it sounded OK, but was of lesser built quality. Still - for the price you pay - you get a mighty value and a decent guitar by any standard.

If you cant afford or don't want to pay the prices for a real Fender Telecaster, this is the way to go. While it is still made by Fender the price is for someone less than a rock star.
