zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us.
Feature:
The machine heads and the pick-up's seem adequate although I'm sure there are better of both out there. I've read in some of the ratings that the knobs come off or get loose and I agree with someone who said "use your allen wrench." I can't see anyone treating an instrument badly enough for the knobs to come off anyway.

Quality:
Everything seems great. It looks good and plays good. I can't see any reason for anything to break. As for the road, you had just better have a good case.

Value:
The price was the best!!

Desirability:
Mine is baltic blue. IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!

Sound:
I can't find anything wrong with the sound. I'm using it with a peavey Basic 112 also purchased from Zzounds and it sounds great to me. I use to play a Gibson bass in a country band and I don't think the Gibson sounded or played any better. I now play in church only except for practice with the stereo and I think it's what I was looking for. I'm using 8's only because I think that there has to be a superior bass somewhere.

Support:
Haven't dealt with them

Overall:
It suit's my needs. I don't think I will be looking for another bass for quite a while. If it were stolen or lost I think I would buy another.

Feature:
exactly what I'd expect, 4 tuning pegs, a neck, a body, a tone and volume knob, ect. it's got exactly what a bass should have and nothing it shouldn't.

Quality:
Not a single problem with it.It's a godsent bass, if you're looking for a new bass and know anything, get this one, the price is better than the fender versions and it sounds the same (thank god fender makes squires). Also this bass'll take a beating, I've got some clumbsy friends and a little brother who has little respect for my posessions and it's still working, and still looks great.

Value:
Superb Value, not a problem with this bass, and I've played an array of different basses. This is my favorite.

Desirability:
If I didn't want it I wouldn't own it, it's worth double the price if not more, and I know people who covet this bass.

Sound:
The sound is great, sweet, and clear. I've had no problems with the sound, the pickups are really sensitive. I'm using mine with a Hartke kickback 15 (120watt bass amp) and it sounds great, with my settings sounds alot like peter steele's bass in my opinion.

Support:
Never had to deal with 'em so fender doesn't even need them, they make quality equipment that doesn't just break down.

Overall:
The only thing I would do right now is buy a Jazz bass to supplement it and make sure I can do anything I can imagine.

Feature:
It comes with a volume knob, a tone knob, and the infamous fender tuning heads. The bridge tends to loosen up on me, but hey, a little money can remedy that!

Quality:
The bass holds up amazingly, although the stock neck tends to bend ever-so slightly, requiring you to tightin it up. I honestly dont care about how it looks ( I have it all stickered, and caution taped out. ). Very good insturment.

Value:
Come on... ITS REALLY CHEAP! ( very good value )

Desirability:
Not very appealing, but hey, thats my own opinion... In any case, very easy to "pimp" out.

Sound:
I've played multiple basses, and the stock pickups sound pretty good, although I recommend getting better ones.

Support:
I dont know, I dont use the support they give you... My support is a screwdriver, two hex wrenches, and a wrench. ( I think it's much easier that way... )

Overall:
Excellant for anyone, Great tone with Punk, Ska, Metal, or other forms of rock... and if you tone it down, and have a good amp, it can sound as good as a Jazz Bass. I've also seen the bass pack ( wich looks pretty good. )

they're good, and i like the split coil pickup

Quality:
this is where this bass lags. made in indonesia, so that tells you something. i bought it used for 100 dollars and there are two dents near the bridge, a scratch on the back but thats all.

Value:
great for 100 who could beat it

Desirability:
sexy bass, good looking in black, white, blue, and red

Great sound, really booming low end, good high end too

good overall bass

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, and Fender basses are the most imitated of all. Now, if I'm buying an entry level bass copied after a Fender, why not buy the only one authorized by Fender themselves? This is the one... it plays easy, and it sounds great!

Feature:
Eh, it has a volume and tone knob... nothing special.

Quality:
Well, its a 180 dollar bass, it cant be expected to last years. I mean, it will last long enough as long as you protect it from people who cant hold a bass. take care of it, it should last a good while. The knobs came loose easily, but you can easily fix that. Not really a problem at all. The input i never really had a problem with... ti came loose a few times, but also, very easily fixed. I just checked it to see if it was tight and sturdy every now and then.

Value:
For the money, this is a great bass. if you are low on money, this is a good bass. Great for beginners, and a great everyday practice bass.

Desirability:
It looks great, its cheap, plays great, why not?

Sound:
This bass is pretty good in sound. It's got a nice appropriate growl, especially if you upgrade it with new strings such as Ernie Ball. I used it for motnhs without changing strings... then i finally put some ernie balls on it, and it sounded great. So basically, it sounds great, its not the best, but you cant expect much from it.

Support:
Well, i never needed help with it, but ive heard Fender is really great in support.

Overall:
I give it a ten for the price. I dont think theres any bass as great as this in its price range.

Feature:
I'm only giving it a 9 because I dont look for too much in my instruments. All I want is that it sound good and stay in tune, and thats exactly what I got.

Quality:
Okay, so it's not the best bass in the world...but who the hell can afford the best!?!? It sounds decent, plays well, and looks just like the real fender! My only complaint is that after about a week the volume knob started to come loose, but with a little help with mister allen wrench, it was tight again and it hasn't giving me any trouble since.

Value:
all in all, good instrument with a price tag so low its stupid!

Desirability:
It's not gonna get ya honeys, but it still looks cool.

Sound:
I liked the sound alot. I was very suprised hearing what I did from this Squier. But don't listen to me talk about the sound because everyone has there own preferences on what kind of sound they are looking for.

Support:
I havn't used any of the support that is offered, but with past experiences with fender, I'm sure they will deal with everything well.

Overall:
I don't plan on selling it, but I do plan on buying a fender deluxe active jazz soon.
