I picked one up for $80 used and it has become my go to bass. It is incredibly light, the neck is much nicer than any Squier I've played. The 3 band active EQ boosts and cuts just like it is supposed to and you can get a HUGE range of tone out of it, including that musicman tone due to the HB pickup.

Well, I guess it's good to start off by remembering this is a cheap bass, and you get what you pay for. There were a few things about the quality of this bass that stuck out right away though. The bridge is complete garbage and the high g string rides right against the saddle pieces spring creating a very audible and annoying buzz when the bass is unplugged. The other major problems have to do with when you plug it in. The pickup specifically. The pickup came from the factory raised so high that there was almost no way for the string to not to hit the pole pieces if you were playing anywhere near the pickup, and the adjustment screws seemed to lack any ability to lower it. In fact one of them broke, not stripped, broke, as I was attempting said lowering. The pickup also has a very offensive distortion towards the end of many notes, I haven't however, replaced the factory issue battery yet, which could be the cause of that. The battery cover for the active electronics also came slightly warped and kinda sticks out the back of the bass like a little turtle shell. Also the sides of the fretboard are pretty rough, the frets could definitely use a light touch from a file. Besides that the neck has a good feel and the tuners feel really solid. And, you know, it's a sharp looking bass, but that's about all.
