"Perfect for a "grag and go" bass."

This bag was purchased along with an Ibanez SR300M, with the goal being a lightweight package that I could easily grab and throw in the truck for practices and open mic's. The combination is perfect for exactly that, and now it's both a backup and gigging bass that is working well for me.The bag itself is hard to fault. It doesn't provide the protection of a hard case, but then again it doesn't weigh nearly as much and isn't nearly as awkward to get in and out of cars or loading in. It's equipped with backpack style straps and a couple handles like most similar bags, so it's easy to carry around. Everything looks solidly constructed, and the interior has reinforcement around the peghead to keep the strings and tuners from ripping up the innards. Plenty of storage space for cords, notebooks, picks, pencils, etc. The zippers appear to be substantial enough, and they have nice big grippers on them. I've had the case out in the rain and it seems to provide enough protection against that, although I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's submersible or waterproof. For the price, it's a very good deal. I'd bought the combination to have a cheap bass and bag, and both have far exceeded my expectations.I should also put in a good word for Zzounds. They've been phenomenally easy to work with, and I'd definitely buy online through them again.

This gig bag protects my Squire Bass just fine - It has plenty of space/pockets for tuner, cords, etc. Padding is Adequate, zippers are heavy duty and work well. No substitute for a hard case - but for a temporary hauler it works great.

I bought this gig bag for my 12 year old son who plays bass in the school band.hes been using my really heavy 27 year old reunion blues leather gig bag and needed something lighter. The SKB came in a little lighter than I expected but for the price its well worth the money. He pretty much leaves it at school in the band room,so its not getting a lot of wear and tear or abuse...for right now its getting the job done, and the accessory compartments hold everything he needs...

I prefer an SKB case for my instruments. These are well made products that have a great warranty. If your instrument purchase does not come with a gig bag or case like other top brands I suggest you get an SKB brand. You won't be disappointed.

I recently bought a Squire Affinity Bass and SKB Gig Bag from zZounds. The bass is really great with a solid alder body and maple neck. It has the enclosed tuners with the big keys and they work great. The SKB Bag holds and transports it nice and secure.
