Feature:
Are you kidding me? The heelless set-neck, EMG active pickups, floyd rose tremolo, Grover tuners, a beautiful inlay and finish all for less than a grand??? This thing is LOADED.
Quality:
I purchased the "blemished" item, and could not find one single significant defect. there was a TINY amount of surface scratches, like the kind a guitar gets after being played for about a week, but for the $230 i saved... definitely worth it.
All schecters, in my experience, have ridiculously high quality standards, even with the flashy inlays and whatnot they like to put in. I've never had a problem
Value:
Come on. This is the best value there is. THE BEST.
Desirability:
This guitar is an aesthetic wonder. I bought it just because of its stunning features and drop-dead looks. And it was worth it.
Sound:
This guitar sounds absolutely amazing. Hands down, the most versatile guitar i've ever owned. The clean has an enormous range, from jazzy, warm clean sounds to the sharp, clear bite it's active pickups are known for.
I was really surprised at how much clarity i got at even the most demanding gains. The highs sparkly, the mids are warm and present, and the lows are deep and percussive.
The Floyd rose has already been beaten and abused by me, and every time i check the tuning, it stays SPOT ON. down to the cent.
The push-pull tap is EXTREMELY useful when looking for that hard-to-find clean sound.
Ease of Use:
From the minute i pulled it out of the box, it felt like a guitar i've had for years. Now, i've always preferred schecters, but this, was stellar even by their standards. The action was perfect, the tuning was perfect, the neck is speedy and smooth. My fingers just danced across the fretboard...
Support:
never had to use schecter support
Overall:
Buy this guitar. Or any other of Schecter's high end guitars. Zzounds customer service is unbeatable. The 4-payment plan is genius.
