This guitar, holy cow! right out of the box its set up to play. The platinum binding and hardware is super amazing on the guitar , and compliments the black matte finish. This thing sounds awesome ( just not on my amp cause my amp sucks but on other amps it slays), and is made to take prisoners! its a nice weight, with a nice chunk of wood for the body! the neck is unlike anyother!! say goodbye to esp necks cause schecter is here to stay!!! the neck is perfect thickness and super fast ( its a satin-y kind of finish but doesnt collect oil from your fingers so it stays slick) and is SO comfortable to play. the only thing i would change is sanding the scoop part of the wing because its a little rough to the touch but that is it!

I recently purchased this guitar and I am very impressed! This guitar is perfect for metal. The tone is awesome and the neck feels great. The matte black finish looks great and the bat inlays add a very nice touch. Not only is this guitar great for the price, zZounds shipped it quick and in perfect shape. It was perfectly tuned and ready to play right out the box!

"I LOVE This Guitar!"

Im still fairly new to guitar and this is only my 2nd guitar ever. My first guitar being a very inexpensive ibanez Gio that Ive had for a few years and it more than served its purpose seeing as how Im still a novice guitar player, but lately since Ive been getting more and more into playing I wanted something better, something cooler, something badass. After months of window shopping online and watching a ton of reviews and demos on Youtube I finally stumbled upon Shecter and decided to go with the Damien Platinum series thanks to zZounds' awesome Play as You Pay Plan. This guitar looks and sounds amazing! Definitely a huge step up from my $150 ibanez. It even feels better in the hands and right away I noticed how natural and easier it was to play. The satin finish is very smooth and feels awesome. The knobs are super smooth too. And I really like that it came with Ernie Ball strings as I was planning on changing the strings when I got it but now I dont have to. I noticed its not as noisy as my ibanez, these EMG pickups are really something. Overall Im super stoked about my purchase and I dont think I'll be going away from Schecter any time soon. I usually order my gear from Sweetwater because of how trusted they are and rightfully so but I think zZounds just won me over, with the Play as you Pay Plan and the free/ fast shipping.

"A LOT OF GUITAR FOR THE PRICE"

I'm not really a 7 string player, but I know quality when I feel and see it. If corners were cut, it was probably on not using the EMG solderless wiring system that comes with the pickups when sold separately. I'm not a big EMG fan, I prefer Duncan Blackouts, but no doubt that from the tuners to the pickups to the bridge, this guitar is loaded with top notch parts. Was set up great. Considered exchanging it for the 6 string so I would play it more. Only thing I don't care for is the plastic like feel of Schecters satin finishes, but not a problem, no doubt it's silky smooth.5 stars, 4 and 1/2 for sound because of EMGs... Sorry EMG. Easily well over a 1k quality going on here.

I have had this guitar for going on 6 months now and I still love it. The active pick ups sound great. I play my guitar using Logic Pro amp simulator and Tonebridge (I don't have an amp) and the difference between the sound after changing the battery for the pickups was definitely noticeable. The guitar feels solid and the build quality feels great. It is a great guitar for a beefy fat tone. For Djent or Metal music, palm muted chugging, definitely the way to go. It is a bit heavy so a good strap is probably worth getting especially if you plan on gigging.
Sound
Sounds great, change the pickups battery after a couple months.
Features
Active pups are great, matte finish looks great. Heavy but durable.
Ease of Use
I would invest in a good guitar cable. A cheap cable will cause lots of noise and headaches. I have a Boss cable that I use and the difference it made was profound.
Quality
This guitar looks and feels like it was made to last. Solid quality.
Value
I would say that this guitar is a bargain for the price.
Manufacturer Support
I haven’t dealt with the people at Schecter. I had no reason to.
The Wow Factor
I love the way it looks, to me, it has a commanding appearance. In other words, it looks bad ass! The bats are also a nice touch.

I bought this as my first 7 string and it is awesome. The EMGs sound reall good but I will eventually convert it to passive to suit my taste. The binding is a perfect classy touch to this brutal monster. My only complaint is there was one piece of debri in the paint on the neck but I use it a place maker... like a brail fret. This guitar will stay in my arsenal.
