Sabian AA Holy China Cymbal

It may be a "fine" China cymbal, but the Sabian AA Holy China brings unmistakable trashy tone to your kit -- with less volume than the original Holy China.

So far this china is doing it's job well, in service for about a month. It has a high airy tone and pierces thru the mix very well... Sadly it came in the mail with a big kink near the bell, but it was across a long portion of it and I was able to pop it out, shame on you UPS!! Could've used some stronger packaging I suppose :-/... Aaaanyway, it sounds great regardless. Leaves me to wounder how one would have sounded any different without having been kinked prior, and hopefully it doesn't effect it's lifespan. Compared to our previous china (AA series 18") the AA had a bit darker tone and a heavier feel, also the AA had a trashier sound, this one is a cleaner sounding china (if that makes any sense). The rest of our set up is mostly paiste (Thin Rude crashes, hats and ride) with one sabian splash and another off brand cheapo splash but still sounds good, and one more paiste signature series splash, this china does seem to fit well in the mix, but it is obnoxious enough to stand out. When this one breaks (and i'm sure it will) we plan to convert everything to paiste, this was more of a last minute decision made before a gig to replace our badly cracked AA, only because the paiste we wanted was out of stock, but a good decision none the less.
