I've been playing for some 30+ years. Over the years I've changed my pedal line-up a few times. Right now I'm playing mostly blues and my pedal chain goes as follows: Cry Baby>Boss TU2 Tuner>Marshall Compressor>Marshall Bluesbreaker II>Boss CH1 Chorus>ROCKTRON HUSH>Danelectro BLT>15W or 85W Marshall Amp. The only 2 ways I know the HUSH is on is the little red light and the silence between notes.

Feature:
No features, just on and off, and some kind of threshold knob.

Quality:
Its got a rugged metal case which is nice, but the added hiss is what lowers the rating.

Value:
If you have trouble with feedback from a guitar, this will likely cure it. Some people play too loud, and some have lousy guitar electronics, this unit can help both. $60 is a good price to keep your guitar from howling at the audience when you have flown 10k miles or spent a lot of time and gasoline selling $500 worth of tickets.

Desirability:
If you have feedback problems, this could help you, but not for anything else. You really should have the guitar electronics checked or turn down your amp, but that isn't always the answer you need.

Sound:
It squishes the highs in a guitar a bit, but depending on your amp you can compensate after.

Ease of Use:
It's easy to use sure enough, turn the knob up until the feedback is controlled.

Support:
haven't used support.

Overall:
Well, I think its been misnamed, it should be called guitar feedback reducer, because that is what it does. It also introduces a hiss, I thought it was just mine, but tried a new one in a store with the same effect. I run a Boss NS-2 behind it, and I have a quiet amp and no howling. I bought the Hush pedal used for $40 and the NS-2 used for $40. For all the traveling and spending money for high profile gigs I do, it is well worth it. I got pretty good at slamming the volume knob off on my axes, but I like this a little better.

I bought this peal to use in the effects loop of my Marshall AVT50 head. I play an Ibanez RG with V7 and V8 humbuckers, which are susceptable to a howling "Ooo" feedback when played near a loud amp with a high Gain setting. The HUSH pedal doesn't fight feedback as well as noise suppression in Boss and DigiTech multieffect units I've owned, which is a big disappointment. I'm impressed, however, with how the pedal cleans up amp hiss, 60-cycle hum, RFI buzz, and noise from my guitar's scratchy Volume pot. The HUSH does what it's supposed to, but it doesn't meet my needs for reducing feedback. I will exchange it for a Boss NS-2. I'd look into try the MXR SmartGate pedal, but no stores stock them yet. I currently use a Danelectro Fish'n'Chips graphic EQ as a lead booster; maybe I could solve my problem more cheaply with another Fish'n'Chips just for controlling feedback (cutting the problem frequencies). Hmmm. There's a thought. . . .
