Feature:
It has pretty much everything you need. Headphones out, Midi IN/OUT, Stereo line out (R/L), plus all the triggers. It even has an extra crash trigger, so you can add another cymbal (or a conga, etc).
Quality:
A little plasticky and very light, but you won't be beating it with a drum stick, will you? If well taken care of, it will probably last until I buy a more advanced module.
Value:
Could be less expensive. Maybe 200 dollars/euros would be the right price.
Desirability:
Looks cool. Lots of blinking lights.
Sound:
Very nice sound. I bought my td3 module second-hand and unfortunately the headphones output is hissy, but the line outs are perfectly quiet. When recorded properly most people can't tell if it's real drums playing or the td3 module. Midi in/out also works great, so you can use whatever sounds you like.
Support:
Haven't dealt with Roland, but they are a huge company, must have good support.
Overall:
I will use it until I buy a td6 or better. The other module I could have bought was the Alesis DM5 but the TD3 looks easier to operate and more upgradeable.
