Feature:
Additional available accessories are highly recommended. I have purchased the pedals and three sound cards that go with this and now would not be without them. On board rhythm is not programable but what is available as drum support is satisfactory. Of course, this has all the MIDI capacities you would wish for.

Quality:
This Roland Keyboard is solid and I have owned it for about two years. No performance or repair issues encountered as yet. It is a heavier keyboard to transport and, to be safe, should really be moved by two people. It does have a nice, sleek and professional appearance and is easy to clean. No loose parts and parts that will fall off easily. Product is very reliable and impressive for most purposes.

Value:
I have had no regrets whatsoever from purchasing the Roland RD 700sx. I was looking for a reliable stage piano that would also work well in a studio setting. It has delivered on these expectations and more.

Desirability:
This product can truly deliver numerous awesome sounds that are surprising and truly amazing to listeners. One might only see a keyboard but, when this is played well and all capacities are used, it can be a 'head turner'.

Sound:
This is an exceptional keyboard with great sound quality. Sound layering capacities offer not only depth of sound but a wide range as well. Whether you want a heavy rock or intimate piano sound, its there at the push of a button. Keyboard action is quite good. Piano options could be better and I have found this only improves slightly with the addition of optional cards. Use this Roland with a Boss BR1600 for recording ideas. Works very well as a combo.

Ease of Use:
Roland does a pretty good job with its manual content. There are sections that are confusing and I found you have to read these a few times to gain a clearer understanding. There is a learning curve with this instrument that is not immediately apparent but once you get the hang of the key features, it is truly a wonderful instrument. Modification of sound is user friendly and quick. It has transposing capacity which is also useful at times. I use a Traynor K4 amplifier which is an exceptional amp for this keyboard.

Support:
I had occasion to contact Roland Canada for support and received great advice and service. They were easy to reach, put me in touch with a product expert immediately and answered my questions the same day to my great satisfaction. I have not, as yet, required any repair service on this Roland piano but am left with the impression that Roland truly backs up its products and that I can have a high level of confidence in their service in the future.

Overall:
No plans to replace at this time. Have looked at the Yamaha Motif models but for the money, this Roland meets all of my needs. If this was damaged, lost or stolen, I might be tempted to consider the Yamaha Motif XS model but currently have no regrets.

Feature:
a lot more features then I expected from a stage piano.

Quality:
Very nice looking. Sturdy construction. Finish will scratch easy on it though. I put a small mixer on top of it and it ended up scratching the finish very easily.

Value:
A bit heavy priced but probably worth it.

Desirability:
I own it. It looks great on stage though.

Sound:
Awesome, the best piano sounds I ever had. This keyboard is wonderful and even the strings and horns are awesome. I would like to see some more analog synth sounds however, it is a stage piano so I didn't expect a lot from that realm.

Ease of Use:
Very easy to use just a touch of a button and you're on your way to great sounds.

Support:
I cannot rate this. Haven't used it.

Overall:
Love It! Roland makes some awesome products.

Feature:
Great features! Rhythm sets are a ton of fun! All the basic features plus lots of bells and whistles! Add a couple volume pedals to the included damper, and you've got yourself a great setup!

Quality:
Looks very sturdy, but finish scratches kind of easy. Watch out for those metal music stands! Hammer action is very well made and sturdy. This is a heavyweight board, 54 lbs! Hard to transport unless you get a hard case!

Value:
Overpriced! But still worth it!

Desirability:
Looks awesome on stage! Sleek, black, thin, and....cool! You'll be proud seeing it on your stage! Go ahead...show it off.

Sound:
From amazingly stunning grand pianos, rock pianos, electric pianos, organs, lush pads, guitars, winds, strings, techno, even to voices, this thing has got it! Far more than adequate for musicians.

Ease of Use:
This is why I bought it! It has the easiest interface I've seen in a keyboard to date! Really easy to switch between sounds and setups that you have stored in advance. I play it in my church every week and the ease of use is amazing, I'm able to switch sounds with the touch of a button!

Support:
Haven't needed them.

Overall:
As you can tell from all these great reviews, this one is definitely a keeper and it's hard to beat. I'll be playin it for a while, buy it and you won't regret it!

I wish to find more expension boards as optional(grooves, loopings, modern drum sets,basses,guitars,pads,piano-bells,acoustic-cristal pianos...)

Quality:

Value:
not cheap at all...the fair price should be 1699

Desirability:
for me is the best stage piano at the moment...and the midifiles sound better in this machine..

Sound:
I have tried first an Yamaha S-90...great piano, but this baby got me crazy!Just try to combine a piano with an acoustic guitar,an electric piano and piano-bells(all four) ...you`ll see whats there!

Ease of Use:
nice and easy...

just came in time like they said

i would expect more expension boards with more modern drums and basses...piano-bells,acoustic guitars, gospel organs, real harmonicas..

Feature:
The multi-effects could be expanded and not simply be a twisting knob. But the ease of use and fast changes are the best.

Quality:
I have played this now for a couple of hundred hours and the action is just beginning to break in. I play particuarily hard and so far so good.

Value:
It is simply the best buy for me. No screwing around with the controls and simply play...

Desirability:
The design and the action make me want to play all the time. Practice Practice practice.

Sound:
The pianos terrific and I particuarily like the percussion organ sounds! And with the 'ultimate Keys' expansion board you can double and triple up sounds. Have only been using it in studio settings. What I like the most is it's keyboard action. It makes one want to keep playing!

Support:
have had no experience yet! Knock on wood...

Overall:
I would replace it for sure. The only drawback I have encountered is how heavy it is.

Quality:
I think it will hold up pretty good

Value:
It could be a couple $100 cheaper

Desirability:
It has piano keys, and it is authentic. I like it but I wouldn't pay that money for it

Sound:
Pianos are realistic, if you listen close enough, you can tell it sounds electrostatic, but they still sound very nice. One advantage of the electrostatic sound is that it doesn't sound like the hammers are loaded with diamonds. The organs aren't that great. The strings and the pads are beatiful.

Support:
I don't know

Overall:
It is a good keyboard. Roland makes nice keyboards.

Feature:
The action is nothing short of incredible. I tried it in the store against a Yamaha P90, Yamaha P120, M-Audio ProKeys88, and a Roland 300SX. Nothing felt remotely as good. It did not feel like a synth keyboard. Even the material for the key tops was less slippery and more authentic. It can take two expansion boards, which is fantastic, as Roland makes great expansion boards and tends to support them for a long time. There was no direct, easy access to distortion, phaser, etc but perhaps they are there.

Quality:
Seems extremely solid. Unlike the other keyboards, the keybed felt very tight and durable.

Value:
This was the best digital piano I have ever played. If this keyboard were $1500, I would have walked out of the store with it. At $2100, I need to think about it. The fact that its expandable makes me more comfortable with the idea of committing to it.

Desirability:
Once you stroke the keys and hear that beautiful grand, you will want it.

Sound:
The grand piano is inspiring. I did not want to stop playing it. Combined with the superb action, the experience is like being at a real piano. And this was through a mediocre mono keyboard amp! I also require excellent Rhodes, Wurly, and Clav sounds, and this had it all. The organ was surprisingly good. I can imagine using at a gig when I cannot bring my VK-7, and I am quite picky about my B-3 sound. But of course the organ is a bonus, this is a digital piano. I was able to play pretty fast organ runs despite the weighted keyboard. This keyboard sounds fantastic. Roland knows how to make great patches. I own an XP-80 and VK-7 for this reason.

Overall:
I wish the organ had a better Leslie, and that the onboard effects were more accessible. I will probably wait for the Nord Stage 88 to come out, and then I will see which I like better.

Feature:
Its a plain instrument. No sequencer, not a workstation. I does allow you to set up and retrieve a few setups, layers, splits, etc, but its strong point is great piano. The Hammond and Rhodes are pretty good too.

Quality:
Be careful carrying this around! Its kinda solid, but I think one drop and it'll be junk.

Value:
It is not cheap. It might be worth the asking price...that's why I rated it at half.

Sound:
After playing an Ensoniq TS-12 and Emu Proteus for piano, this keyboard, finally, provides an expressive, dynamic, real piano patch that I think, stands up to solo performance. The half-pedal samples are unbelieveable. There are other good voices in this machine, but I bought it to be what is is advertised to be ... a stage piano. Solid, good feeling, sounds fabulous.

Support:
Who knows. I bought it from a box pusher, and haven't had any problems. Hell, its new!
