Roland CY8 12 Inch VCymbal Dual Trigger

Offers "swinging" motion with great response, separate bow/edge triggering and choke capabilities, plus a fresh new look that more closely resembles a real cymbal.

Feature:
"natural swing" should be more like natural bounce. I have 5 cy-14C's and 1 cy - 15R. These do not swing like the CY-14 c's do, even though they have the same description as the cy-14 with the natural swing. The cymbal does work, but if you want your Roland V drums to feel as close to playing acoustic drums as possible, buy cy-12, 14, 15 cymbals instead.

Quality:
The CY-8 does not seem to be constructed as well as the CY 12, 14 & 15.

Value:
Yes, its worth the price; especially if you are on a budget. If you have extra money laying around, but the cy 12, 14 or 15 cymbals. As for me, i was looking to add a splash type cymbal to my set and decided for the price, the cy-8 looked good. At some point, i will probably replace this with a CY - 12 R/C

Sound:
It is quiet, just like other roland CY cymbals when struck

Ease of Use:
as good as the other Roland V drum products.

Support:
I have not needed any service so i rated rolands support at a 5.

Feature:
For this price, the features are great!! (Dual triggering)

Quality:
Could be a little better quality, but you won't find this level of quality at this price-point anywhere else.

Sound:
Sound is not really applicable here unless you're talking about the amount of sound striking the cymbal produces, which is minimal.

Support:
Never needed Roland support. Their products are great.

Feature:
Good features, horrible reliability.

Quality:
Roland should be ashamed of themselves, these things are not suitable for much more than 10 uses, and I'm not a heavy hitter.

Value:
Buy the PD-8 instead, it doesn't "swing" but it's built to outlast this thing 10 fold.

Desirability:
Read above.

Sound:
Worked okay for awhile, then started false triggering shortly after getting it...all 3 on my V-Tour kit, just not built to last.

Support:
Big company, hard to get ahold of support.

Overall:
Avoid this one, the crap out quickly.
