Feature:
I think it has just enough amp choices (8) for this little amp. I don't really need 32 different choices. The acoustic voice is a nice feature, along with the other 7 amp choices. The effects work nicely, although I don't use effects, I mostly play blues. So if I can get a few overdriven sounds I am good with it. But I find myself occasionally turning to the flange, or to the phaser. And I may use the chorus with the acoustic amp choice? It's the TONE

Quality:
It's all solid, and the outer rims are trimed with a nice rubber edge and corners as well. It seems very solid, the knobs feel like they will hold up fine. I am not worried about the quality at all.

Value:
There is nothing that compares to this amp for the money, period, nothing even comes close that I am aware of. But then like I said, we'll see what shows up at the next NAMM show! even if other companies come out with a similar product, it will just be that much better for us, the consumers. Where else can you get an amp that models for the money? Now I could have gotten a floor stomper, but then you still have to go thru your amp.

Desirability:
I think it has some sex appeal for such a small amp. 30 watts, is plenty for a lot of applications. If I play somewhere that I need more punch, I will run my guitar (a strat) thru this amp, and my 50-watt TUBE, 1-12, also. and that's why I got it in the first place, to be able to get some unique (modeled) sounds to go with my 50 watt. To inhance my TONE. I didn't have to have it, well that may not be entirely true........but I had been wanting, and looking for a way to enhance my TONE. Without giving up my TUBE amp. This is the best deal for what I was wanting, not to tmention the price!!!!!!!

Sound:
The sound is actually phenominal, considering the price. The modeling is spot on to my ear, which isn't usually the case. Usually it's like, "well yeah it kinda sounds like that" this new Roland is great, in my opinion. they have really done an incredible job. Roland started the modeling, and then lost the first place spot to Line 6, they may be coming around to challenge Line 6? The quality is just excellent is all I can say. Now it used to be often said, that Roland amps were, "soft" this one doesn't have to worry about getting tagged with that observation, it has plenty of gain, head room, and just plain volume. It also sounds just as awesome, at low volumes, which means you can get the nice overdrives, or the distrotion you want with out having to crank the volume. If you don't believe me, go play one and see for yourself. I am very happy with mine. It's got good TONE.

Support:
I don't know about the support, I don't think I will need it, anyway.

Overall:
I think it is exactly what I need for now. If I star5t getting gigs in large arenas, I may have to reconsider my gear. BUt if I was playing gigs like that, I would anyway, cause I'd have all the money I wanted to spend on gear. and I sure would have a big budget for gear, if i was in that situation. For the small gigs I play it's plenty. has ins and outs that I can go into the PA if I need to, and they say the amp sounds even better thru a sound system, well it doesn't sound better, you can just get better modeling going thru a board.

Feature:
Pretty wonderful. Sold a $400 Fender Dyna-Touch amp because the Fender model on here sounds much better. Selling a Blues Jr. because the Fender Tweed model on here sounds much better. Sold a Marshall AVT because the Marshall model here sounds much better! Get the picture? I don't mind having reverb/delay on one knob. Sounds great. Other FX, except tremelo, are a little strong. A level knob for FX is the only improvement I'd ask for. Good outputs for phone, recording, PA.

Quality:
Looks like it's made to take a tumble or two.

Value:
More small amps are coming with modeling choices, but I think this is th e one to beat for a few years to come.

Desirability:
Looks more industrial than sexy, but it's what comes out of the black box that matters.

Sound:
After being stunned at the sound of the smaller, amazing Roland Microcube, I have sold several of my larger practice amps because this sweetheart replaces them all -- and gives me the additional options of a Marshall, Peavey or Mesa stack. How wonderful is that?

Support:
No problems, no experience.

Overall:
This will serve me well for years, unless I need the power of the Cube 60.

Feature:
For an amp in this price range, the features are excellent. A speaker line out would be a nice addition as well as a XLR recording out.

Quality:
I don't think an amp can be built (or look) any tougher than this. I've used Roland and Boss gear for years. No problems.

Value:
I've had more expensive amps that don't sound this good. Excellent!

Desirability:
As far as looks go, I don't think this is the most attractive amp. But if you buy an amp based on looks you've got other problems. It's the SOUND!

Sound:
When I first heard this amp I was amazed. I tried out 5 or 6 other small amps in the store. They had their good points but nothing really blew me away. When I plugged into this little monster...whoa! I was looking for an amp with a nice distortion and found it. The "metal" (Peavey 5150) setting is fantastic. I also wanted a good clean sound and found that in the JC120 and Blackface (Fender Twin) settings. Plus everything else is extra icing on the cake!

Support:
Never had to deal with them. But as many pros use Roland products I doubt there would be any problems.

Overall:
This one is a keeper. Although I originally looked for a small amp as an in-between amp while I searched for a larger amp, I'll probably keep this around after I buy another amp. It's just too much fun!

I bought this amp for it's portability for practice. My main rig is a JC120 head through a 2X12 ported stereo bottom - total weight, about a gazillion pounds, plus rack effects and guitars. Lugging all this to a practice every week is exhausting. I was looking for a smaller, used JC amp to keep my sound true between practice and gigging. The cube (clean channel)reproduces this sound very well and does so at less cost and weight of a used JC55 or JC77. The COSM modelling and on board effects are good. Not great, but definitely usable. I've been leaving my effects rack at home on practice nights as well.
I've read complaints that the amp isn't loud enough - especially on the clean channel. A simple amp stand (or a chair) solves this problem. If you put this 19" box flat on the floor in the same room with any size bass amp and drums it will get lost at ankle level, The sound needs to be raised or angled up and will fill a practice room or studio just fine.
As for gigging, I will continue to use my larger rig, but for practice this thing is perfect. One drawback is that the recording/Line out mutes the speaker. If this weren't the case, I'd consider gigging with it and running the line out to the board, using the amp as my guitar monitor. Perhaps someday I'll rewire the output and give it a whirl. Maybe it's just as easy to throw a SM57 in front of it....

Feature:
I was just getting back into the sceen to play guitar, and for the features the cube 30 had and the eq and etc.. this amp has some sound effects, that I wish that they were all seperate, but this little amp kicks ass !!

Quality:
I think this is one of the best little amps ever made.I think if you drop this from a second story building, this thing will still work, but I don't suggest you do that!!

Sound:
I was looking for a prctice amp and I came across this music store that sells them second hand. I had to try it out for a while then I decided to buy it. After I came home and put the plug in, I fell in love with this little amp. I just wish they would come out with a cube 100 !! I think the sound kicks ass and I am getting every sounding dollar !!

Support:
I rate this way because I have had no problems.

Overall:
I am already looking for another roland amp that I can take on a stage with me.

Feature:
Effects are not that significant and sounds ok, not that great. Reverve and delay are also ok. I would use separate unit for effects. Distortion effects are what makes this amp great.

Quality:
It looks very sturdy and I personally like the finish.

Value:
great value for your money.

Desirability:
Great design of looks and sounds.

Sound:
Modeled sounds are very realistic. I use it as a practice amp and it kicks butt over other small amps.

Support:
The boss and roland products are always great.

Overall:
I am very satifiied with all of the distortion effects but not with effects.

Feature:
The added effects, plus reverb and delay make this a great "grab 'n go" amp for when you just need to get the job done. It's the K.I.S.S. principle in practice. You can't do things like vary the amount of effect to direct signal, and the delay isn't as warm as a good vintage analog delay, but hey -- for this price point, it's quite usable, and EASY TO USE! Nice. One MAJOR BEEF though -- NO DIRECT LINE OUT! Huh!? Seems that would be an easy enough jack to have on there. Doesn't even need to be XLR, but a line-out that doesn't kill the internal speaker would be a great option. Even a 1/4" line-out would work. Probably cheaper than a switch to leave the internal speaker either on/off. I want to send a signal to the board AND monitor the signal with the amp. Yeah, mic'ing works too, but a line-out is, again -- SIMPLE. They should include that option in the Microcube, too.

Quality:
Like all BOSS and Roland stuff -- built tank tough. I like more vintage cosmetics, but this thing is SOLID, LIGHTWEIGHT, EASY TO USE and made to be played.

Value:
Great bang for the buck. Just grab it, throw it (literally) in the car, and go make some music.

Desirability:
As stated, if it's vintage styling you want, this ain't it. But, I like the clean front (controls on tip), and to their credit, Roland didn't add stupid purple or red or some other GD colors to it. All black is GOOD, and keeps it from being garish.

Sound:
The tones and models in this amp are quite impressive. The Black Panel and Tweed settings are my faves, but even though I'm not a hard rock or metal player, those tones are also very, very good. The JC clean sounds just as clean and sparkly as the 120! The BP sounds are about as close as you can get to my '64 Deluxe for being what it is -- a modeling amp. The stuff they're doing these days is scary.

Support:
Great support. Some other (ahem...fender...) companies could take (ahem... fender...) a lesson from (ahem... FENDER) from Roland in this department!

Overall:
I'd give it a 10, but for not-quite-so-sexy cosmetics, and the fact that THERE'S NOT A LINE-OUT for connecting to a board without defeating the internal speaker. Other than that, great workhorse little amp for most gigs. The 60-watter is available, if you need more juice.
