Sound: I have used Remo Pinstripe Drumheads for many years and the Powerstroke 3 snare head you can't go wrong with it. I use them on my personal kit and I have been the praise band drummer at my church for 11 years. When our pastor called me one day 11 years ago he said I've got drums and you're our drummer. At that time the church was changing from just a piano or soundtrack to having a full band going more contemporary. The point is he was given this older set of Premier drums and they didn't sound very good. But putting good heads on even less expensive drum kits can make them sound like an expensive drum kit. Once I put on these heads and new bottom heads the other musicians in the band were so impressed with the difference these heads made to the sound of the kit. I take care of buying the heads now for the drums because at one point the music director bought Evans heads for the toms and I just couldn't get the tonal response I was looking for compared to the Remo's. We won't be making that mistake again. Value: The prices beat out any retail store in my area often by half the price. Manufacturer Support: Everytime I order from Zzounds I choose ground which is 3 to 5 business days and I have gotten all my orders in 3 days. Overall: I have played other kits with different heads but I wouldn't change to another brand. The Remo pinstripe propack is worth every cent.
