This amp is absolutely amazing, best tone for metal hands down. The distortion is thick yet articulate. The cleans are smooth and buttery. This amp is also far more versatile than the name would suggest. Love it, Love zZounds.

So im a huge fan of Mike Fortin and Ola England. Unfortunetly after talking to both of them long and hard about this amp i just feel it doesnt hit the mark. Randall limited Mike so much I dont feel this represents him at all. The amp can only do one thing and thats Olas sound....so if you are in a cover band for him then you are great. For a lead guitarist that solos alot id avoid the hell out of this. You can get Mikes sound with his pedals so if you want it id go that route. I now play the EVH el34 and the 6l6 stealth and they are both superior! Also took me almost 3 years to sale it. when people heard it they didnt like it so wouldnt buy it!

DEADLY.I have played high-gain since 1978 and this head SLAYS everything proceeding it...and will kill everything living in its immediate area. No other manufacturer is making anything this sick. With the single exception of possibly Mesa and their Double- or Triple heads' output/control profile, no other head comes close to matching SATAN's level of intricate gain management options. It's a scooped dream machine; power up a a Marshall 1960a with GT12-75s and this monster will rattle the bones of the long dead. Add a 7- or 8-string behemoth up front and you have a honest-to-SATAN blueprint for a nuclear weapon. I am using an Ibanez M80M to fuel this rocket and my musician "friends" are threatening to turn me into the Hague for war crimes...This is NOT the head for the average classic rocker. This is NOT the head for the guy who LOVES Nickelback. This IS the head for the guy who has a titanium skull, acid for blood and thinks/dreams in Meshuggah-like syncopation. It sounds METAL, breathes METAL and is METAL.Use responsibly of course...
