Feature:
It comes with a footswitch for clean/drive and vintage/modern drives. It's like having 3 channels. Effects loop send/return. I run a digitech or a v-amp into the effects return for different amp and cabinet sounds. The mid contour control is nice.
Quality:
The thing is built like a tank. I've giged with it without a problem. The box was a little bigger than the amp. It was mounted a little off to one side and you can see a space between the amp and the cabinet. I could have sent it back but I'm not a crybaby, it still screams and that's good enough for me.
Value:
I shopped around on line and this was the best deal on a 100 watt head. My other choices were Carvin,Ibanez or Marshall. But this one had the most GROWL, bite and drive!
Desirability:
The look of that steel grill says "rock the hell out of me!"
Sound:
The clean channel is bright. The drive channels shred!! Not for blues players. Listen to old Pantera or Disturbed. This head nails them dead on!
Overall:
I've played Yamaha,Crate,Fender and Marshall amps. This one is a meat and potatoes amp. No frills, just rock. Loud and hard. If you use the effects return the tone controls are bypassed. It's basically just a slave. If you go into the input clean channel with your petals you may get a lot of noise, just a tip.
