Expandability is one of the major features of this workstation. My only gripe would have to be the workmanship. The design is good, but I was displeased with the welds on the support braces. They are tack welded instead of a bead weld meaning that you can see gaps where the base pipes are joined. This also reduces the amount of actual weight/damage it can take. Everything appears to be pretty solid, with the exception of the mounting bolts for the desktop. They QuikLok provides a set of Allen Head bolts and washers that thread directly into the laminate board itself, instead of affixing metal mounting brackets which I would have preferred. Overall, it's a decent product as long as you don't plan to diassemble it often (being in the military, this may last about 3 moves) which would lead to stripped bolt threads, and damage to the laminate mounting points. Durability of the work surface appears to be adequate and easy to clean. Assembly was straightforward and should take about five to ten minutes. It fits my Roland XP-80 perfectly with about 18 inches of work surface remaining in front of the keyboard and about 1 1/2 inches on either side.
