Finally, a rack that shows some thought in its design. I always hated mounting eqipment in the lower portion of racks because of the inevitable bending down that would be required to change settings and etc. With this rack, you never have to bend down to get to lower components. Both the upper and lower components are all easily visible and at arm's reach right from your chair. More companies should learn from this design!

Feature:
I think the design of it is great. It tilts so you can see and get to your gear with minimal effort, but the tilt does'nt interfere with the operation of my adats, dat or CD recorder.

Quality:
I've used this same rack for over 15yrs and it is still as good as new. I will purchase another one when needed. I'm not really sure how it would hold up on the road. Mine is stationary in my home studio. Although it is full to the max with gear,I have no fear of any part of it breaking. It is well constructed.

Value:
I have another rack I bought earlier that costed more, but the design is not as good. There is a spot where certain sized gear can not fit one under the other.

Desirability:
The design shows off your equipment better than a straight faced rack.

Overall:
If anything happened to the rack I'd get another one just like it.

The slanted section is on the lower section facing upward, instead of at the top like some other racks. This allows you to access all the equipment mounted in the entire rack without bending over. If you're tired of getting down on your knees to adjust settings on equipment mounted at the bottom of the rack, this is for you!

includes the spanner and screw driver necessary to complete the construction. everything about it feels quality. adding and removing components is very easy.
even with heavy items in the top part it feel sturdy. i bought the stackable 10U quiklock but this caster mounted 20U is much, much better.

Quality:
The Quick Lok RS954 is not a unit that you want to load deep heavy modules into. It will put undo stress on the pipe welds or topple over. Not really a unit for a professional musician or someone with heavy gear looking for a home. It is rated at 250lbs ... this would be an accident waitng to happen.

Value:
The rack is inexpensive compared to professional racks ... you get whay you pay for.

Sound:
Rack Mount - NA

Support:

Overall:
Stay Away unless all of your modules are 8" deep or less.
