"Tolerances for parts were hit and miss"

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I don't write many reviews, but thought that future buyers would like to know of my problems with the unit. Zzounds is great, but this product is a hit and miss. You might get a box that everything works, but I had 2 units that didn't. Poor quality control.
Sound
N.A.
Features
The bolt for adjustment is nothing more that a bolt with a handle, nothing locks it into the unit.
Ease of Use
No manual for putting it together, but it isn't hard to figure out.
Quality
There was no factory control. The first unit I got was missing the main base bolt. It took 3 units to make 2 working ones. Tolerances were all over the place with the carpet screws and bolts. Some screws fit and some didn't. Some bolts worked and others didn't. There were no extras.
Value
For the money, I think they would be of better quality
Manufacturer Support
No Support. The product is imported from Italy. ZZounds helped greatly in getting 2 working units
The Wow Factor
It does the job in my studio

"Audiophile quality stands for multichannel home theater use."

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
about the only choice for high quality, heavy monitors in rear channel installations.
Sound
about the only thing i could find that would raise my paradigm model 40's high enough to serve as rear surrounds in a home theater system, and believe me, i looked everywhere.
Features
huge top plate, the largest going at 9x11 inches. nothing else comes close. sturdy, large triangle base... adjustable height, all the way up to 45 inches. the paradigm's are 40+ lbs. stand mounts, so i had to have something really sturdy. even comes with floor spikes !!! may not be the best for front L/R mains.
Quality
little to no wobble. would take a hard direct hit to topple.
Value
off the scale. "audiophile" multi-tube stands can go 200 bucks and above, and are not really suitable for rear channel speakers in a multichannel installation.
Manufacturer Support
rated up to 100 lbs. again, most in this price range and really far above will carry only 30 or so.
The Wow Factor
powder black finish is well applied- blends nicely in home environment.

QuikLok BS300 Stand Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Decent bang for your buck, and performs its required duty as expected.
Features
Simple to setup, has spikes for carpet and rubber feet for hard floors. Of course, height adjustment could have been even easier, but it's unlikely that anyone will be changing height too often.
Ease of Use
It's a speaker stand, if you can't figure it out, then...
Quality
No problems. All pieces fit together nicely.
Value
A bit on the expensive side, but worth it if you need a large top plate and have heavy monitors.
The Wow Factor
Decent looks as far as stands go, nothing to rave or complain about.

"disappointing"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll replace as soon as possible.
Sound
Too flimsy for my 32 pound Yamaha speakers
Ease of Use
A monkey could set them up, which is good since only one poor quality drawing was included, no directions.
Quality
Very poor quality for the money, the screw used to lock the stand height does not screw into anything it just slides into the hole, the tightening collar does not tighten the whole way and one stand only shipped with two carpet spikes, if I hadn't mail ordered these I would of returned them, very low quality.
Value
I would not buy this product again.
Manufacturer Support
Contacted zzsound about the missing carpet spike but their only alternative was to replace the stand, given I'm the 2nd person with a missing component, they should stock them.
The Wow Factor
looks good if it'd stand up straight and not wobble.
