Feature:
I love the large LED display. It has the largest display of all the pedal tuners I've seen. Nice to have the strobe feature. I used to use a strobe tuner at school when I played the violin a looong time ago and a strobe tuner is the best. With my guitar I use the sweep mode and it tracks really well...even the low E string. Very accurate!
Quality:
Very solid. This pedal is heavier than it looks and the picture doesn't do it justice. It has a chrome dark gun metal gray finish that looks really cool.
Value:
You may think it's a little pricey but it's worth it. After all you can't have an out of tune guitar! Whether you're a pro or hobbyist the tuner pedal is the most used pedal. It's just good habit to check your guitar's tuning before every practice session right? Get a good tuner and one that will last.
Desirability:
The rotary display, the strobe and the gun metal finish are all cool.
Sound:
I have this between my guitar and amp input. My other pedals go through the effects loop. As far as I can tell this pedal doesn't alter my guitar's tone.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use. Plug in your guitar on the right side and plug the pedal into your amp. Two outputs...one with sound and one muted. Battery compartment is easy to open, but I use an AC adapter.
Support:
Haven't had any issues with the pedal, so I haven't had to call or write the company.
Overall:
The only other tuner pedal I'd consider is maybe the Korg, but if this Planet Waves tuner pedal was lost or stolen it would be an easy decision to get another.
