Feature:
Pioneer put more consideration for the user into this pair of headphones than any of the competition! The belt clip, the stereo mono switch, shoulder pad, 1/8th / 1/4th inch plug and folding design are are all wonderful features and only about half of these features are given by other companies with comparable headphones. Even Pioneer does not offer those features in their recent models; i.e. the belt clip and shoulder pad.
Quality:
I have been producing and DJing for well over 10 years now and I have owned a pair of these headphones for the majority of my career. I have also owned headphones buy Sony and Fostex as well as other companies. These, the Pioneer se-dj5000's, are the only pair that were able to physically withstand over 7 years of use without breaking.
Value:
These are the absolute best value! Old School Quality and Value in a Solid Product!!!!
Desirability:
9 in Sex appeal! They look good for years with no maintenance!
Sound:
The sound quality of the phones is great! My older pair, over 8 years old, still sound as good as they did when I got them!
Ease of Use:
These headphones configure several different ways! You can wear them how ever you need to depending on the application or situation. Some people find them difficult to manipulate, but once you know them they are easy to use!
Support:
Didn't need support for this product!
Overall:
I bought a second pair a week ago! I chose these over the Sony 700's and the newer Pioneer DJ headphones! The pair I had for 8 years finally started to crack around the top, easy fix with some tape and they were shorting out at the plug, not an easy fix but I fixed them for less that five bucks, with a replacement plug from and audio store, and they still look and sound GREAT!! Other headphones i've had have completely broken and been discarded after they stopped working.
