Feature:
The pads feel great. The cymbals are fine as long as you get a different ride cymbal.
Quality:
The rack is weak and isn't exactly designed for grown men. Replace the rack with a Tama or a Pearl. The finish on the pads is great - no problems.
Value:
I got mine at a bargain basement price. The going price is still a solid value.
Desirability:
It is not the sexiest of sets (until you replace the rack and get some decent cymbals). Then the sex appeal goes way up. The shells on the pads look nice.
Sound:
The pads are great, the cymbals are just OK, the kick trigger was weak, and the rack leaves a lot to be desired. I replaced the rack and the kick trigger, added a nice roland sound module. I also replaced the ride cymbal (with a roland CY-15R) and added a Roland CY-8 crash cymbal. Now I have a kick great set. All told, I still spent less than if I bought a mid-level Roland gum-rubber pad kit. I have a great set at a great value.
Support:
Pintech has great support and a *LIFETIME* warranty. Not too shabby considering the price.
Overall:
I now have a great set that I pieced together myself and I am very happy with the value.
