"Peavey Sanpera II VIP Foot Controller"

To anyone who owns a Peavey Vypyr Amp, this footswitch is a must have to unlock the full potential of your amplifier. This footswitch in combination with the amplifier will save you a lot of money. If you were to buy each stompbox or rack effect separately you would be in the range of $2000.00 dollars or more, just in stompboxes and rack effects. To me this footswitch is well worth the money!

"A Near Must Have"

I had the Vypyr VIP 2 for three months before I decided to splurge on a foot controller. Wanted a controller primarily to switch between 3 or 4 presets. Went with the Sanpera II over Sanpera I only because I got a very good price from ZZounds. The amp without the controller is good times but this Sanpera II controller makes the amp an awesome playground for my Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus. The controller comes preconfigured with over 100+ presets or "patches". Although some of them are repeated so there's probably 80 original presets altogether. The controller has 2 pedals, a Wah and a Volume. I have come to appreciate the volume pedal as a must have for looping at a lower volume than your lead guitar. It also is a big plus for switching between amp models as some are much louder than others. You can anticipate volume settings without messing up your loop or waking up the neighborhood as you switch from X to 6505 amp. This was a great buy for me for these and other reasons. The only drawbacks I have experienced so far is loop does not save after powering off amp (might be something I am not doing right) and labeling a custom preset on the Sanpera's LCD is a tedious process. Perhaps the manufacturer will consider enabling some basic controls of the VYPYR and SANPERA via USB. Overall, very happy with the product and glad I got the Sanpera II model.

I ordered the sanpera 2 pedal for my 75 watt peavey vypyr amp. It took 2 business days so like 3 or so all together. I had trouble with the volume and wah not functioning. BUT I read in the owners manual (comes on a disk, you can also download it from the peavey website) I had to initially calibrate them by holding down a certain button and clicking a second one while holding the first. That puts you in calibrate mode. The inboard information screen then walks you through the options. It's was a breeze. Love this thing.

I watched the video on the zZounds website and thought that it would be great to use the looper and be able to record and then play while it was playing back. I had a song I was trying to write and proceeded to put down the rhythm pattern, but after 30 seconds, it started to playback. I thought the looper would run longer, but it didn't and it was somewhat dissappointing.
