Feature:
It has massive geek appeal. Every element that goes into the sonic character of an amp can be tweaked. You can exchange all the tubes in an amp, mess with their electrical properties, design your own amp cabinets in a similar fashion, and you can even import your own impulse responses into the speaker and convolution reverb modules. However, you don't need to worry about messing with any of that if you don't want to, and the presets will likely blow you away.
Quality:
It's obvious that a lot of love went into this product.
Value:
Let's see...all the competitors' products sounds much worse, and cost a lot more. This one is a no-brainer.
Desirability:
Sonically, it has no rival. However, I am a little concerned about the longevity of the software, given the current state of things with Peavey. I'm buying it, regardless, but it would be nice to believe that future updates will be frequent and continue to add to the amazing nature of this product.
Sound:
I have used pretty much every amp modeler, since the original Line 6 and Johnson gear that came out at the turn of the century, and none of it has compared to this. It's phenomenally good. It sounds unbelievable live, but the sonic quality can even be increased further upon mixdown (this takes 4-5 times as much CPU horsepower, so it is not suitable for today's computers). I'm just awestruck.
Ease of Use:
It's ultra-easy to get great sound out of it (just having it on seems to ensure that), but the manual could stand to have more complete information on what all the low-level components do. I don't know anything about building amps, but I want to tweak settings with an idea of what the outcome will be.
Support:
Peavey's website doesn't even exist at the moment, and when I tried to download the demo, it was going to take about two days. I really hope they start doing a better job, because with proper promotion, this product will kill the competition.
Overall:
I'll always be checking out every amp modeler I can, but I don't expect this product to be eclipsed any time soon.
