Feature:
I was out looking for a beginer guitar for my daughter and after checking out several used ones the Peavey Raptor Plus EXP nearly jumped into my arms. I had the option to buy the package but opted out and bought the guitar only. After throwing a few licks on it at the store I was sold. Mine didn't have a tremlo bar but I think that may be a dealer oversight.

Quality:
For the price it has to be one of the best "starter guitars" I have ever tried. It's been a long hard road finding a quality instrument that allows a ten year old not to be intimidated and also allows for creativity and curiosity to flourish. Kudos!

Value:
Absolutely!

Desirability:
If "looks" are important then they've done a decent guitar. Good finish on the body and the flat finish on the neck allows for ease in playability.

Sound:
I was thouroughly suprised with the sound quality of this supposedly "inexpensive" guitar. I'm pushing it through a mini-Marshall MG 15 and am astounded with the response! I'm going to try a bigger rig (amp) and I'll let you know.

Ease of Use:
As a professional acoustic player (30 + years)I found the versatility very accomadating. My daughter who is ten didn't have a problem with the playability. It's not an intimidating set-up and soon she was jammin her little heart out. I was amazed at the ease of use. I may buy her another one and keep this one for myself!

Support:
I'm going to find out.

Overall:
I am very pleased with this guitar so far. There are a few changes I will do. The set screws in the bridge are a little long. Tops are sharp. I will machine the bottoms down to bridge height. (No Pete Townsend till I do)The action is a little high for a beginner. I may need to shim the neck to achieve a little more speed and playability. The neck width is ideal for little hands. Great guitar!

What do you want for the price. It has a few blemishes but nothing that detracts form the palyability. Great guitar

Value:
Played better tha more expensive starter guitars.

Desirability:
Very good paint job.

Sound:
I really like the sound. Infact I was surprised by it. I have played on and off for about 30 years and was looking for a starter guitar for my son. I played 10 different guitars some more expensive and I kept coming back to this one. Can't beat it for value.

Overall:
If you need a guitar and are short on cash look no further. Get the guitar setup and you r are ready to go.

Feature:
I got it with a gig bag, you should get a protective bag if your going to carry it around

Quality:
Very nice no problems with it at all nice black finish doesn't scratch easily, no chipping or any damage yet. Amazing craftsmanship for this price

Value:
Most bang for your buck If you got $500 bucks, go ahead buy an ibanez but until then this is the best shredder for the price

Desirability:
Very nice curves

Sound:
Awesome, not very "thick" but still amazing trouhg a Peavey Rage 158

Ease of Use:
Very nice for beginners, its good for shredding no manual needed

Support:
Didn't have to deal with them

Overall:
If I get enough money I'll buy something more expensive and better

Feature:
Contained the Peavey 15-watt amp, a learn the basics DVD, some plastic picks that I used for a bout 15 minutes until I saw my pickguard all scratched, so off they go. Also a strap, an electric tuner, a gig bag and one really thin cable that I wouldn't trust my life on. The guitar has 21 frets, bridge humbucker, a middle single coil and neck single coil. Again for the price, this was the best thing I would get and I'm really satisfied. It includes all the necessary tools to modify your whammy, bend the neck and lower the strings.

Quality:
The guitar falls out of tune really easy, but since its a starter guitar, I find that, in a way, good to train your ears and tuning capabilities. The glossy finish is just fantastic and sexy. If you take care of your guitar, I think it will last you for quite some time. Sometimes you might get a buzzing sound coming from he bridge which I haven{t been able to identify and fix. Hence the 7. Once I fix it it'll be a 9 again.

Value:
This is my first electric, I've been only playing for about 7 months but I definitely think this was a smart but, at around $200.00 at a local store, which is as low as I could find, I think I got away with a really nice set. This guitar definitely looks like at least a $400.00 one, and if you look at the head, the Peavey logo resembles a signature, so you could get away with saying it's an autographed guitar by someone famous (WARNING: If the crowd gets too close, you'll be screwed)

Desirability:
The glossy sunburst finish is DAMN SEXY. I've never been a real fan of burst finishes until I owned one of this babies. All the girls love it and it makes you look like you know what you are doing on stage.

Sound:
Has 5 pickup selectors, so there is plenty of tone to go around. It came with a Peavey Backstage 15-watt amp which has an overdrive channel, master volume, high and low knobs. Which, I believe, could be improved. For the price, I'll let it slide. The Pickups could be improved, I'm thinking about replacing them as soon as I can. A friend of mine that has played guitar for 13 years says they are not that bad, who knows, maybe I'm just picky.

Ease of Use:
If you just play it out of the bag, you'll find that it's obviously out of tune and you will spend around 10 minutes trying to tune it up, even with the tuner it comes with. Then your high E string might pop in your hands. After you put in some decent strings (because the spare strings might have popped as well) you tune and you can start jamming. Remember, the key is to mess up with your guitar up to the point where YOU feel comfortable with. The neck is really fast once you lower the strings. I played it factory settings for about 4 months. Today I lowered the strings and DAMN! This neck is FAST, you can get really fast shredding just by placing the finger on the fret, no pressure needed. The only thing is that left hand muting is hard now haha. After this workaround with the strings, pinch harmonics are ridiculously easy now. I'm telling you, get this while the price is this low.

Support:
Never have to deal with them.

Overall:
Once I have enough savings to get an Ibanez RG series I'll go for that, but I'll never sell this guitar. I'll keep it forever, for my jamming and live playing, to improvise or whatever. I'll even upgrade the Pickups to get the most out of my buy. Don't let the sucky amp drive you away from this product, you can always buy a better amp or pedal.

Feature:
I hadn't played for 30 years and decided to pick up a guitar again. I wasn't sure how dedicated I would be, the price was right and I bought the package. Can't beat it for the price, the amp alone blows away what comes in the Ibanez, Squire or any of the other "intro" packages. I enjoyed it so much, I went out and bought a used Fender Jag-Stang (I got a smoking deal on it - $200) and then a Behringer GMX210 amp - needless to syam the Peavey guitar and amp lit a fire under me.

Quality:
The pickups aren't the best, the selector switch went out after a few months, a replacement fixed that, and the solder joint on the output jack came loose. No blemishes on the finish, overall, the quality can't be beat for the price. It has a good feel to it.

Value:
Just can't beat the features and quality for the price.

Desirability:
If you are just starting out, or just trying to get started again after a long break and don't want to lay out a lot of money, this is a package you may want to consider.

Sound:
OK considering the quality of the pickups. After getting it set up right, it was pretty darn good. Cahnged the strings to Earnie Ball 9's - made all the difference in the world - nice light feel.

Support:
Never had to use it, registerted on their site and I get mailers and e-mail from them from time to time.

I love the tone switch but it could have used more tone knobs

Quality:
Some of the wiring came lose so I had to re solder the wires on the tone pot and the mono jack kept fallin off so i put some 1in chrome plated screws on the jack plate and some thred loker on the jack

Value:
Great gutair for the money

Desirability:
Fairly sexy but not like an sg or les paul by any means

Sound:
It sounds okey when the pots are working

Ease of Use:
It is very playable great value for the money

I'll probably keepp it forever so I have something that i not afraid to break when i jamm out.

Feature:
It's a starter kit, included a learning DVD which only teaches the very basics of guitar. Included picks, straps, 1 cable, and a 15-watt backstage amp that may not have the best sound but again, for the price you are paying, it's worth it.

Quality:
The pick guard scratches a lot, and I do mean A LOT and the picks that this kit comes with are plastic and if you don't pay close attention, you will have a pick guard with blue or red scratches. Overall, this is a great guitar for it's price. The strings this guitar comes with are not really good, specially the 1st one, if you are bending at 13th fret or higher, chances are your string will pop in your hand. Luckily, the kit included spare strings, which also popped. I don't know, probably just me though.

Value:
price is worth it, if you are learning, if you are looking for a training guitar, or just another guitar for your collection that looks good. You have to go this way.

Desirability:
It's not a kick ass double neck Gibson custom SG or Flying V. But if you go to any shop, you would be captivated by this guitar's sunburst finish. It comes in red blue and black but sunburst is the best looking one, it looks so natural and classic. My girlfriend loves this finish.

Sound:
I'm used to play in acoustics, this is my first electric and I didn't want to spend much on it. The sound is okay, compared to other electrics I've played. The pickups are ok and the jumbo frets make your shredding faster but less accurate in higher notes. It only has 21 frets so you better learn how to bend. The sound is really above the average, but it falls out of tune too often. the tremolo is amazing but it's only one way, you can't get higher notes. This SSH guitar has 5 pick up settings. The guitar included a 15 watt backstage tube amp which you could replace latter on for a bigger & better one. Overall nice distortion.

Ease of Use:
Light weight and very smooth playing, jumbo frets are a plus, but on the higher notes it gets kind of tougher to achieve clear sounds. If you pop a string it is very easy to replace and tune in. The position volume knob can get in the way of fast switching to another pick up setting.

Support:
1 year warranty, and besides the strings and de tuning, I've had no more concerns, very good starter, jamming and training guitar. Not for live performances though.

Overall:
An overall nice guitar for what it's worth, if you are looking for a jamming guitar with nice sound and you don't want to break a hole in your wallet, this is the instrument for you. The only changes would be strings, change them for like D'Addario or something good, and the pickups, if you have the means and money change them because this ones are not that good.

Mine came with the tremolo arm and everything. I fell that it is one of the best guitars that I have and I own a couple gibsons! This guitar just kicks butt.

Quality:
The product is made really well. The quality is really good. The lood is great and I would not and have not done any thing to it and it was my firs guitar ever for over 3 years. The only things I have done to it is change broken strings and tune it.

Value:
the value is really good and it probably still will be for years to come.

Desirability:
Really sexy and it has a head turning look. It has the origanal look to it.

Sound:
This guitars sound is just sounding like any other guitar, but I have had it for 2 freakin years and have not have a problem with it. To get the best sound try to play more down towards the bottom.

Ease of Use:
The finger-board is the perfect size and it is so darn easy to play that I sometimes play it at talent shows rather than any of my gibsons.

Support:
I have had no problems with it at all.

Overall:
This product from peavey is better than some of my non-beginner guitars from gibson. It is really great.

Feature:
I got a gig bag with it, which is fine and dandy, I didn't expect that for the 100 bucks I spent on the guitar

Quality:
Overall this guitar is B-E-A-utiful a gorgeous sunburst finish, no blemishes, chips or cracks. I wouldn't call it road worthy, garage band worthy yes. To make this guitar truly gig and road ready you need 3 things right off the bat: A soldering iron, a coil of solder and a set of Grover Tuners, the factory ones slip out of tune pretty easy, especially if you use the tremolo at all.

Value:
This guitar is great, beginner, expert or intermediate. It's a pleasure to have this in my collection amongst fenders, gibsons, esp's and bc rich, now I can ad peavey to namesake. if proerly setup, a music store could easily sell this guitar for nearly double asking price...buy them while you can....because these are hot and worth every red cent.

Desirability:
the sunburst as I mentioned is gorgeous, my wife was actually laying naked with it for me...so there is definitely some sex appeal to this guitar considering I have much more extravagant guitars, but when I saw this I decided to buy it, one it's a peavey, and I've played on many and have never been disappointed, 2 it just has this look that begs to be played

Sound:
I enjoy the HSS setup, though the bridge pickup gets a bit too much hum, and I play through Line 6 amps, so hum shouldn't be a problem, probably due to weak soldering...easily fixed when I find he time...overall...it's pretty good

Ease of Use:
It needs a slight adjustment on the action, but it has a nice fast neck which is good for shredding, and if you are a beginner at soloing and shredding, this would be great to learn on, just have it setup by a professional to get optimum performance.

Support:
never heard of them

Overall:
I think with the little work I will have to do for this to be where I want it, I will like with all my guitars keep them for as long as I live.
